I met a couple of friends here for lunch. First off let me start with, there was lots of parking space. When we walked in, it was very clean and nicely decorated. We ordered Mongolian Beef, Chicken Stir Fried Noodles, and General Tso’s Chicken. It was all very delicious. The staff was friendly and they provided quick service. I recommend giving this place a try. My friends and I already decided that we would definitely come back and eat here again.

We were in the Driftwood area and wanted to get some Chinese food. So we ended up trying out this place because the pictures looked like they served authentic Chinese food. The flavors were very good! The soup dumplings were very soupy, although a bit on the lighter tasting side. The eggplants and green beans were great. The staff were very nice. The only thing I would improve on is the price to portion ratio. It is definitely a 5 star establishment if they gave a little more food or lowered the price a little. Maybe it’s the area. Regardless, I think it’s worth a try and I hope they succeed!

10/10 everything about this place is top notch! The atmosphere is clean and inviting with a cozy ambiance. The couple (I assume owners) greeted us with a warm smile when we walked in and were very attentive. The Peking duck, spicy beef soup and custard bao were all delicious. Highly recommend. We will be back to support the newest neighborhood joint.

Atmosphere and Design
The interior decor is simple and modern, infused with Chinese elements. The wooden bar, tables, and chairs give the space a warm yet stylish, clean, and upscale feel. Special care has been taken with details: the restroom was found to be spotless, thoughtfully designed, and practical. Overall, the environment leaves guests feeling comfortable and at ease.

Dining Experience
After about a 15-minute wait, the reviewer was seated. The menu focuses on noodles but also includes stir-fried dishes, Peking duck, and dim sum. The group ordered:
Scallion Pancakes: A great starter, not greasy, perfectly seasoned.

Spicy Lanzhou Beef Noodles: Excellent broth, thin and tender beef, and chewy handmade noodles. The reviewer raved: “Amazing! I finished the noodles and soup in one go.”

Peking Duck (half order): Served with pancakes, cucumber, scallions, and sauce. The duck skin was crispy but not greasy, and the meat flavorful. “Probably the best Peking duck in Bee Cave,” the reviewer noted.

Soup Dumplings: Solid and satisfying, with no disappointments.

Shumai: Snatched up quickly by a companion, who declared them “delicious.”

Custard Bao: Familiar in appearance, with a pleasant taste.

The dishes were served on elegant tableware featuring the restaurant’s logo, with refined shapes and colors. Despite the packed dining room and constant takeout orders, food came out promptly — impressive for a restaurant still in its soft opening phase.

Service and Pricing
Service was described as warm and attentive. The reviewer even encountered a handsome server they assumed was Korean, only to discover he spoke fluent Chinese.
The average cost was around $20 per person, which is considered reasonable compared to downtown Austin. Even close to 9 p.m., customers were still streaming in to pick up takeout, proof of the restaurant’s booming popularity.

We recently picked up food to go and it was so good!
Faves:
1) mongolian beef
2) combo fried rice (so tasty and moist, not dry like some restaurants)
3) chicken & cabbage dumplings (these are incredibly good! We pan seared them a bit at home because I had accidentally selected the steamed ones and we like a lil crunch on the edge) My daughter and I both think they’re some of the best on this side of Austin we’ve ever had, so definitely try these!

We also had the Orange Chicken which was a bit dry, chewy. Maybe just an off night. Flavor is great though.
The Cucumber Salad was good but I thought it was the more traditional, thin slice one with sesame seeds. Its cut more in chunks in a soy type sauce. Still good though.

Our family will definitely be back though. The indoors of the restaurant is modern, cozy and very clean, so we will try the dine in option soon. So happy Bee Cave has a fab dumpling locale!

Very expensive for okay food. The serving size for chicken fried rice was considerably small for the amount of food and hardly had egg in it. The dumplings need more seasoning and the fried rice was sticky. Was really hoping to find a good Chinese place out here. The egg rolls were good, but won’t be back.

We recently tried their soft opening but for take out. It was made on time and so perfectly packaged. Even the ramen didn’t spill during the many turns I had to take to get back home. I was welcomed immediately and offered water if I had to wait for my food in the back but then they immediately brought it out. Peking duck, ramen, King Pao chicken, fried rice, soba noodles with chicken was all delicious. My husband couldn’t get enough of the Peking duck. Perfectly cooked and tender. My Kung Pao was incredible! I’ve never tasted anything like it. The flavors are unique to them. I’ve had this dish many times and nearly all restaurants use the same flavors but here? It’s so delicious and while there’s peppers cut up into it, it’s not as spicy as it looks. The restaurant looks very clean and very comfortable with the decor.

A ONE Dumpling and Noodle Bar has brought the best Chinese food I’ve had in the Greater Austin area straight to Bee Cave!

Though most of the surrounding tables around us tonight had ordered orange and kung pao chicken, I strongly encourage those able to go to A ONE to try their Red Oil Dumplings, Water Boiled Fish, Spicy Beef Noodle Soup, SOUP DUMPLINGS. Even the standard pan fried dumplings rival some of the best I’ve eaten living in Boston/Houston, fresh homemade taste with lots of filling. The cutest homemade custard bao piggies topped off a truly wonderful experience.

We will definitely be back to try their other dishes!
