Lunch Menu changed. I got Sirloin and shrimp, as the filet mignon was removed from lunch menu. The filet was good last time, but the sirloin was barely edible, no flavor, it looked good, but tasted like dry cardboard and cooked medium rare. The shrimp was grilled, it was OK. I would not order this again.
Brussel sprouts were good and the salad was fresh. Bread was ok.
The service was good, but I had to wait for my water to be refilled by the manager.
The two seater booth is so close your feet are on top of the other person’s feet across from you.
It’s a very cozy and comfortable restaurant.

I hadn’t been by here in quite some time, but we decided to come tonight since it was my birthday. I had the steak salad and I was most of the way through it and wondering why it wasn’t as good as I remembered it when I realized they didn’t put the blue cheese on it like it’s supposed to be made with (and the menu says it’s made with). The steak was done properly, though, medium rare, like I ordered it. My wife ordered the steak and sweet potato fries. She liked the steak, but the sweet potato fries were pretty soggy so we didn’t care for those too much. Thankfully, the carrot cake was as awesome as I remember it being. After we got our food, the waiter never came back by until we were finished, so I didn’t get a chance to talk to him about the salad until I was already done with it. I’ll give it four stars, but it was really more like 3.5. I doubt I’ll be back anytime soon. There’s too many places to eat where the food comes out really well and/or it comes out like it’s supposed to be made.

Update: Clearly Saltgrass doesn’t actually read the review before sending the form letter response. Somehow they thought they met expectations. Guess I should lower the rating to a 3 where the experience actually was. I’ll do that now…

Horrible chefs. Overpriced. Imagine going to the steak house with 2 other people. And you all order the same thing – a medium steak. Isn’t that the easiest thing to cook for kitchen ? Yet somehow 1 steak was completely rare . One medium. And one well done. Do the chefs check the temperature with a tool like you’re supposed to ? How is there THAT big of a difference in each one when all 3 should be same . Food was outrageous. And me wondering how that happens while I’m paying $100 for 3 steaks is outrageous too.

Their servers move WAYYYY too slow when you need something in my opinion. They Forget items you asked for . They run 3 THREE table sections in this restaurant!!!!! But the servers take 5-10 minutes to grab something when you ask for it . 3 tables + that above and beyond Landrys training should mean way better and faster service, and not waiting 10 minutes for a side of lemons , more butter , bread , etc .

To be honest, we’d had some disappointing visits in the past, but we finally gave them another try (actually two) and we are very happy we did. The queso with brisket is addictive. The steaks are delicious, as are the brisket burger and the truffle fries! The service was excellent, both times. We will add this to our regular rotation of restaurants.

Came here for a work event. The steak was amazing and cooked perfectly! The chicken tortillas soup was amazing! We also had the brisket queso which we got the brisket on the side and thank goodness we did due to how salty it was. Two people got the smoked Mac and were not fans of it… Way to smokey. Had the watermelon fresco and is possibly my new favorite drink! The service was great! My husband and I will be back!

Stopped by on our way home from a day antiquing in Round Top. Excellent service, delicious food, and tranquil atmosphere. I mention the tranquility because that is not always possible when eating out, as noise levels from other patrons sometimes overwhelm the dining area, but that was not the case today.

We spotted this place off the highway while traveling through Texas and decided to stop, and we’re so glad we did. The food was delicious and perfectly seasoned, and the service was excellent. Our server, Eve, was absolutely wonderful—attentive, honest about the best items on the menu, kept everything coming, and checked on us regularly. The ribs were truly fall-off-the-bone good, just like Eve promised, and the bread they brought out was moist and delicious. Be sure to try the brisket queso as an appetizer—it was just as amazing!

2/1/26 I ordered three meals ToGo.One was chicken-fried chicken with macaroni and cheese (an upcharge), but it wasn’t included. The other two were chopped steak, well done (no pink), but they were undercooked with some pink remaining. My health condition requires all my meat to be thoroughly cooked. My wife spoke with the “manager on duty,” who said they can’t do anything because there’s no picture PROOF! As LSC, we frequently visit this Cypress location, among other restaurants within their organization, and have never had this subpar service! 2/1/26 I ordered three meals. We hosted my grandmas 70th Birthday lunch today and I have no regrets! The process was so seamless and the staff was delightful. Our servers Stephanie and the other young lady (I forgot her name) were awesome. My family enjoyed their meals and the food was EXCELLENT! Quick seating even though parking lot was absolutely packed. Put name on list, went to bar and didn’t wait 10 min and our table was ready. Service a little slow, but it was packed. Food outstanding. Try the BBQ shrimp. And pineapple margarita…. wow
