The ambience was modern yet comfortable, perfect for a gathering with loved ones. We started with lotus stem, tandoori soya chaap, and malai broccoli, each dish perfectly executed and bursting with flavour. The main courses of paneer butter masala, lasuni palak paneer, and sabza pulao were beautifully presented, rich, and satisfying; it’s clear the kitchen takes pride in both taste and presentation.
Desserts were a high point: gajar halwa, rasmalai, brownie, and mango cheesecake, all exceeded expectations and concluded our meal on a very sweet note. The drinks selection complemented our dishes perfectly, with the Ginger Addiction, Silly Me Not, and classic J2O offering refreshing, inventive options.
What truly set the evening apart was the personalised service. Bharat went above and beyond, checking in at every stage to ensure everything was perfect, and his suggestions made our dining choices even more enjoyable. It’s rare to encounter such genuine hospitality, please pass on my thanks and a big shoutout to Bharat and the team!
Moka Dining excels not just in its food, but in creating an overall experience that feels special and memorable. Highly recommended for anyone seeking top-quality vegetarian dining in Northwood, with service that turns a meal into an occasion.
They didn’t even care about customer service at all. We ordered chilli chicken, chicken gravy and garlic chilli naan. Chilli chicken was nice and the portion was big. Value for money but not in flavour. The chicken gravy was no taste at all and the naan was ok. Overall it’s a disappointment experience for us. The atmosphere was good and follow with good music. Will I visit again. No
Moka is consistently one of the best restaurants in the area. I’ve been several times now and always enjoy going back. While a few dishes can be a bit hit or miss, the classics never disappoint and are always full of flavour. We have a few go-to favourites we end up ordering every time because they’re just that good (Gol Gappa, Chatpati Bhindi. Chilli Mogo, Salt & Pepper Tofu are our all-time favourites). Chai isn’t specifically listed on the menu, but this is also served and is delicious! Would be great if they did Bottomless chai like Dishoom!
They also have a generous vegetarian selection and a great variety of dairy-free options, which was especially appreciated by a friend with a dairy allergy, she was even able to have vegan vanilla ice cream, which she adored (and said she couldn’t even tell it was dairy-free!)
The service is always welcoming, attentive, and professional. Staff go out of their way to make you feel comfortable, and the food is usually served in good time.
The atmosphere is lively and fun; perfect for a catch-up with friends or family. It can get quite loud in the evenings, especially when it’s full or when there’s live music or background music playing, but it adds to the energy and vibe of the place.
Located in Northwood, Moka is fairly easy to get to, with two pay-and-display car parks nearby. They’re usually free after 6:30PM (though always worth double-checking before you go). It’s a convenient spot for a nice evening out without the hassle of central London traffic.
Whether you’re popping in for a casual dinner or planning a group meal, Moka delivers on flavour, service, and atmosphere. There may be the odd dish that doesn’t hit the mark, but overall it’s a spot I keep coming back to and will continue to recommend.
Have also been for their brunch which is definitely recommended, their masala chai is authentic, and their Indian omelette is awesome and spicy so be warned. Their aloo Pharata is also fantastic.
The order I have just received falls far short. Not only was it cold (fair enough), but the lamb was dry and truly awful. To make matters worse, as I tried to chew this dried out lamb there was a long strand of hair so embedded that it actually went through a grain of rice like it had been threaded. This is absolutely disgusting. This food is not cheap so the least one can expect is quality and HYGIENE.
