Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

I went in for breakfast like 6 minutes ago. Got a egg, sausage and cheese taquito and asked for 2 picante. The lady said they were out of picante but had salsa verde so I said “sure, why not?” Ya know, the whole “try it, you might like it!” Well… it’s safe to say I LOVED it. Will likely never use picante for their breakfast burritos, that verde made such a difference. Highly recommend salsa verde over picante.

I’ll start by saying it wasn’t a bad experience, but there are a few things I’d like to note. I ordered the Mushroom Swiss Burger, a drink, a Chicken Cobb Salad, and a side of guacamole.
Starting with the positives: they gave me my drink and order number quickly, and took my order in a timely manner. When the food arrived, it was hot. The Mushroom Swiss Burger was made well, and the location appeared clean and well-stocked. The trash bins weren’t overflowing, which I appreciated.
Now for the negatives: I asked for guacamole and was given what looked like half a spoonful. I asked for more, and still didn’t receive much. To be fair, it did look fresh — so I’ll give them credit for that. The salad, in my opinion, had way too many carrots — about ½ cup — and the chicken on one side was so overcooked that the meat was peeling off and wasn’t even cut through properly.
The wait time was longer than I expected, especially considering there didn’t seem to be many people there. I’d estimate it took around 15 to 20 minutes for my food.
Final thoughts: they could improve their timeliness and quality control in a few areas. Overall, I’d rate this visit a 3.5 out of 5.

This store is amazing. Service was excellent and the food was as good as back home(Texas). I was not disappointed at all. Nick went above and beyond for my family and even made sure the little ones were happy and content with their food. I’ll be returning very soon.

Second time they gave me greasy old gravy with almost a half inch of grease floating on top looking gross. First time I got the gravy here it made me sick had to go to the bathroom onband off for three hours. And they didn’t even want to give me a refund. The worse whataburger I’ve ate at. I’ve worked at Whataburger I know how it should be. They just don’t care what they serve out the window here. Also old hashbeown sticks cold and greasy as well. A few months ago, it seems there was a change of management. My family and I enjoy immensely the flavors and the atmosphere.
There is a bit of a wait when we go through the drive thru to take it home, but it proves to be worth the wait. Please bring back mushroom Swiss!!!!!!

Drove through. Usually givethese guys 5 stars. This day my BOB with Xtra bacon crispy. I got parts of an egg. Inedible. 3 pieces of bacon. Near rare. I was headed to give blood. I stopped by another Whataburger. They will do better next time

20 minutes in the drive-thru on a Saturday morning that Google says is just “a little busy”.
Window was closed and one girl was responsible for collecting payment and delivering food. She came out with one cup at a time or handful of straws and napkins for random cars in both lines.
