Here on a Tuesday. Took 15 minutes sitting, at the bar to get a drink. There were no customers other than the 8 people at the bar. Ordered wings which are definitely not a fan favorite. Then we waited while there was a shift change and neither bar tender cared to get drinks or service for anything. They were very busy giving their friends free drinks at the end of the bar. The service was terrible and so were the wings. I would definitely advise against this place….

I visited The Whisky Barrel in Port Jefferson Village on a weekday right before Christmas Eve, and despite the busy holiday rush, it was a surprisingly pleasant experience. The place was packed, which added a lively, festive vibe that felt just right for the season.
The food was great—exactly what I was hoping for. The wings arrived fresh, hot, and perfectly spicy, while the sandwich was flavorful and hit the spot. My only issue was with the lettuce in the salad; the quality could have been better since it was a bit tough, making it hard to finish the whole salad. That aside, I really enjoyed my meal overall, and I’d definitely come back for another visit. The energy of the crowd combined with the tasty food made it a worthwhile stop!

Just had the BEST experience at a bar late night with Miranda at whiskey barrel. Not only were there drinks delicious, but the food and service were out of this world! Miranda was SO attentive and spot on with drink recommendations. I can not recommend this place more! We will be back sooner rather than later!

Always a great time! After 7pm it’s pretty busy, get RSVP on OpenTable to guarantee seat. Well worth it, great wings and burgers & drinks of course. Something for everyone. Nice staff, decent priced. A great date night spot with good live music, too. Pretty hard to find a parking spot behind building, give yourself some time.

Miranda was phenomenal, came tonight after dinner to get drinks after celebrating our three year anniversary. Extremely accommodating, had an extensive knowledge of the menu and cocktail variety, and so refreshing to get to know. Will be back soon!

Been wanting to come here for awhile. Had to sit at the bar since the tables were all reserved already which was a bummer but the bar was actually pretty comfortable. They had a massive whiskey selection set up on shelves behind the bar that was an awesome display. The service was great with helpful recommendations. We got the burnt brussel sprout appetizer which was so good, but unfortunately just a special so go soon if you want to try it. Also got the steak sandwich which was really good, but not a ton of steak on it. My wife got a custom burger which came out a little overdone, but not bad at all. The place itself wasn’t huge inside and quickly got loud as more people came in but still was a nice night out. Would come back again to try the wings and other handhelds.

I come to The Whiskey Barrel pretty regularly, and it’s consistently a good experience. The food and drinks are always solid, and the staff does a great job. Lucia and Miranda, in particular, are always friendly and make the place easy to come back to. It’s a go-to place and always worth checking out.

Went mid week in early afternoon. One waitress working the bar and serving tables but wait time and service were great considering. She really hustled and was attentive. Ample drink menu, everyone happy with their selections. We ordered apps and they were delicious. Will go again.

My burger was HUGE to the point that I had to squish it down in order to take a bite, lol.
Everyone at our table enjoyed their meals which included pulled pork, steak sandwich, chicken wrap and a burger
We went on a Monday so we didn’t have a long wait and service was prompt.
