This place probably has some of the best service in San Diego. The staff is friendly, professional, and very attentive. I don’t know how they hire, but the servers here are truly excellent. Five stars for service.
The food was good overall. Everything we tried was tasty and well prepared, with no major issues. The only thing that stood out was the Caesar salad, which tasted a bit off. It could have been just my taste, so I won’t judge too harshly. We didn’t complain, but I hope the restaurant keeps an eye on consistency.
Overall, a very good experience, especially because of the outstanding service. I would definitely come back.

First time at this outback location. decided to try the three-course meal. ordered the hamburger medium rare, Caesar salad, loaded baked potato and a cheesecake for $14.99. Overall, the meal was good the salad very was good. The hamburger was a little over seasoned with salt, but good. Baked potato was good, but also over seasoned with salt. Went before the early lunch crowd so able to get good service. I prefer this over the Chili’s meal deal and is actually just a few dollars more than going to In-N-Out Burger.

Only restaurant that has ever taken the kids steak seriously. Everything was reasonably priced and cooked perfectly. The Delmonico has great flavor, and the fat was melted just right. Will definitely hit this location again

We enjoyed the atmosphere. Staff was attentive. My daughter enjoyed her chessburger and fries. I enjoyed my soup, salad, and shrimp. My hubby like the steak but it was a bit tough. He said the bake potato was delicious.

Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much walking into Outback–I figured it’d just be “decent chain food.” But wow…I was SO impressed. The steak & coconut shrimp were cooked perfectly, the sides hit the spot (caesar and baked potato) and the cocktails? Creative AND delish.
The service sealed the deal. Our server was friendly, fast, and actually seemed to enjoy being there – which, let’s be real, makes a huge difference.
Overall, I left way happier (and fuller) than I thought I would. Outback, you won me over. Consider me a blooming onion convert.

Ordered food from uber eats, we were given no silverware, the Mac and cheese was falling out of the container because the lid wasn’t even on it and it was completely upside down, and there was a bug inside of the salad. This is extremely unacceptable and they’re lucky they haven’t been reported.

My husband and I have been frequenting the Outback in Mission Valley for about two years now, and it has consistently been a fantastic experience! Jason, the manager, truly makes this location shine. The restaurant is always spotless, and it’s clear that Jason prioritizes a positive work environment. Every staff member seems genuinely happy to be there, which really enhances the dining experience.
Cynthia, our favorite bar/server, is always full of energy and makes us feel right at home. The food? Always delicious. I’ve never had a single bad meal here!

This a cozy place to slide into a booth and enjoy a meal. Weekday lunch specials are great. Staff remember me by name as well as my beverage of choice. Justin, Jordan and Josh are a few of my favorite servers here. One of the best restaurants with consistent service. Tip: if you have a more modest appetite, order off the kids meal (all ages eligible).

I just wanted to take a moment to leave a truly heartfelt review after the amazing experience I had simply calling this restaurant. I have a long list of food allergies, which can make ordering out really stressful, so I called ahead with questions and was transferred to Eli. From the very beginning, Eli was incredibly kind, patient, and understanding. I never once felt rushed or dismissed. Instead, Eli took the time to carefully listen to my concerns, clearly explain ingredients, and help me thoughtfully identify items that both my friend and I could safely order.
What really impacted me was the genuine care behind the conversation. I could even hear that there was someone else in the room with Eli, helping double-check answers and make sure the information was correct. While I didn’t catch that person’s name, I am deeply grateful to them as well. It was so reassuring to hear a team working together to prioritize customer safety, especially when it comes to food allergies.
So often people with allergies feel like an inconvenience, but that could not have been further from the case here. Eli and the rest of the team made me feel respected, supported, and safe. Because of their knowledge, patience, and kindness, my friend and I were able to confidently enjoy your food instead of worrying the whole time.

Ordered the ribeye with 2 baked potatoes and a blooming onion
Ribeye was just okay but the potatoes were hard & smelled like dirt & were tan brown over half way through. I truly believe the potatoes were made yesterday. Green onions in the fixings cup for the potatoes were dried out & cheese was plastic looking
I’ve ordered this same meal previously even as recently as around 1 month ago & it wasn’t as atrocious as it was this time around.
I can no longer recommend this location
