Kid hasn’t had good Italian food for a while, so the first night in Nashville we had dinner here.
He had the cedar roasted pork chop because they were out of the prime sirloin. He said it was good.
I had the lasagna and it was good portion and tasty.
Only disappointment were the appetizers. The calamari was alright, the crab cake was ok. It was a bit on the dry side.
They have strawberry tiramisu and the kid loved it.

Highly recommend the meatballs! The bruschetta appetizer was great, bread was toasted to perfection and the olive tapenade is a great touch! Portions are generous apps can feed 3-4 people no problem. We had the Cacio E Pepe and the Three Cheese tortellini, both were great! We finished the night with a slice of the key lime pie. It was creamy and covered in whipped cream, two thumbs up! Great atmosphere. Parking lot is around the back. The signs say it is a paid lot, when you get inside there is a QR code to scan that validates the parking so you don’t have to pay. Enjoy!

Nice Italian restaurant, good atmosphere. A little upscale so dress kind of nice. The food was pretty good like the appetizer and the bread and dip. My entree, I think had a little bit too much red sauce and the ice cream was excellent.

There is one certainty about dining at Amerigo- you won’t go home hungry. Amerigo dishes up huge portions of both Italian classics and Italian-fusion recipes for even those with the biggest appetites. That said, the results were a bit uneven flavor-wise. Chicken Tuscany was served with 2 vary large portions of lightly-breaded chicken breast, mushrooms, and diced tomatoes in a wine-flavored sauce. My wife absolutely loved it. I had the Chicken Marsala which also features 2 large, lightly-breaded chicken cutlets. It was decent but not a big winner. For me the chicken was a bit tough and somewhat difficult to cut and eat. The sauce was ok, but contained quite a bit of flour as thickener which muted the notes of wine flavor. Artichoke hearts in the sauce were a nice and welcomed surprise.
Desserts too were average. Tiramisu was good but I wished the chocolate ganache had more flavor. It was a tad bland. Key Lime pie likewise was good but here too the flavors were a bit muted. I do realize not everyone loves the strong punch associated with intense Key Lime pie flavors, however Amerigo’s recipe is fairly tame.
Service and atmosphere were outstanding despite the restaurant being very busy, Overall, Amerigo is a good, moderately priced choice for a nice meal out in Nashville.

My son and I came here for lunch during the week. Loved that there was free parking next door. Our food and service were amazing. Austin was attentive and made sure we had drink refills without us even asking. Will definitely return!

We just wanted something light so we walked until we ran into this place. When we walked in, it seemed so upscale but we weren’t dressed so we told the hostess what we wanted and she looked confused so we just asked if we could sit in the bar area. We had Caesar salads (Good), a pizza (Ok), Long Island Iced Tea, and Lemon Drop Martinis (GREAT!!!).

The food was absolutely outstanding—authentic Italian flavors, perfectly prepared and presented. However, the ambience and service, while good, didn’t quite match the excellence of the cuisine. Still, a very enjoyable experience overall. With a few tweaks in atmosphere and service, this could easily be a five-star destination. Four stars!

Very nice place. Looks upscale but is very affordable and nice for a family to celebrate. The parking lot is small and behind the restaurant.

This has got to be one of the best dining experiences in Nashville. Amerigo has been a staple on Broadway for at 30+ years… if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. In a city that’s growing faster than it can handle and things changing on a regular basis downtown it’s comforting to see Amerigo’s still hanging strong. The atmosphere is perfect, the food, is superb, great bang for the buck and oh so delicious, and the staff is amazing. We showed up at 9:45 and even though the restaurant closed at 10:30 we were treated as if it were 6:00 pm. No one rushed us out or made us feel we were holding them up. So nice. If you’re visiting Nashville and looking for great food at a great price and super nice people, do yourself a flavor and eat at Amerigo Italian Restaurant.
