I have no idea how this place has such good reviews ordered 80 dollars worth of takeout, The food was actually disgraceful, dry sinuey flavourless pork and the driest chicken I’ve ever experienced in the soup! Absolutely disgusting I have no idea how this place is still in business. Sushi was pretty good but so unbelievably overpriced ! Never again ! Husband is currently making dinner as we’re all still hungry as only the sushi was edible the rest gone in the bin!

I love love love the sushi here. I tell everyone I know it’s the best on the island. We have been coming for years and are treated like family. The quality of fish has always been premium, the rice perfect and Yeung creates beautiful rolls, bowls and plates. It can sometimes not be the fastest when busy but what do you expect and why do you want to rush when enjoying delicious food and being out with friends and/or family, just makes time to enjoy another signature cocktail or bottle of sake. I always want to try something different from the menu but can’t go without my favorites. Every time I leave with a food high and sometimes with a sake buzz. Getting lightheartedly harassed by the boss lady is part of the experience. I love her amazing trick of remembering a whole table of orders without writing a single thing down. Amazing food and portions. The lady taking our order and running around was lovely and funny. Very welcoming environment and great to share the plates and try all the items on the menu. I recommend this place as it is the best we have ever had. The lemon grass chicken and rice was great, our favourite.

Looking for a sushi place, my daughter suggested we try here as she had used it for take-out before. We were greeted and seated promptly by friendly staff. Beverages (water & green tea) arrived quickly with the menus. We waited 15 minutes to place our order, though the restaurant wasn’t overly busy. Knowing the food is made fresh, we anticipated a bit of a wait. The wonton soup was incredible – the flavor was amazing. The California and dynamite rolls were also very good. It took a while to get our bill once we were finished. All in all, great food, but be prepared for a leisurely, relaxing meal. Yes, I will return.

Our favourite sushi place in Duncan that also offers excellent Vietnamese dishes. Fantastic service. Delicious rolls and tasty pho. Ample seating with options for groups of all sizes. Very clean washrooms. We’ve been eating here regularly for more than 10 years and it’s always been consistently great. Park in the lot next door or at the train station in the park nearby if street parking is full.

The waitress was rude and the atmosphere was crowded and impersonal. Tables are all shoved to one side of the restaurant now. Boourns Duncan get some better sushi restaurants.

Recommended by a friend, ordered crispy noodle with beef, not sure how the chef designed the dish but long crooked fried noodle is the most difficult thing to put in mouth. Sauce tasted good, beef is bland probably not marinated but at least it’s tender, veggie is crisp. Overall not worth the money paid. Way too overpriced.

Probably the kindest hostess/server ever. Miso soup was excellent, rolls were very well made and tasty. The menu selection was good, covered everything you would hope for from a smaller local spot but not the widest variety of super special rolls. Definitely recommend checking out if you’re downtown.
