This ice cream shop offers tons of choices, from classic cones to shakes, malts, and more. We tried both a shake and a malt, and they were delicious—rich, creamy, and full of flavor.

I have been going there for a long time and have always ordered the Mackinaw Island Fudge ice cream. Today when I ordered it, it tasted like frozen peanut butter. If they changed this flavor, I will not be going there again. I absolutely hate peanut butter flavor.

First time here. Probably won’t return. Friendly attentive employee. Prices are reasonable. Seating is upstairs. It’s very clean. In my opinion, it needs some color or some music or some plants or something. They were out of lemonade, and for some strange reason they’re out of napkins – someone needs to do the inventory. Berries tasted off. Ice cream was a little freezer burnt. No trash cans only recycle bins so you have to wonder if you should throw your plastic and trash in there. They have a drive thru but not easily handicap accessible.

I enjoyed a date night and shared a piggy trough. it was delicious. I tried 24 flavors of ice cream for like $13!! So much fun. I like the dining on the upper level. Very clean facility and friendly staff. I will be coming back for some coffee, excited to try that.

Visited last Monday with my grandson for the first time. I got a Mocha and my grandson got birthday cake ice cream. Both excellent. The staff was so very nice. I’ll definitely be going back. We also picked up a doggie ice cream cone which made my pup extremely happy. I’m so glad I live close so I can visit a lot.

Blue Moon ice cream has long been my favorite flavor, but isn’t the easiest to find in ice cream shops. Not only was I excited to learn Rusty Malts has Blue Moon, but I was ecstatic to find they also have another variation called Playdough. It is Blue Moon with chunks of colored cookie dough. I mean, come on! This is what ice cream heaven looks like for me. Haha

I didn’t appreciate being lied to by people that said close at 8:00 pm when the sign outside and on the website says closes at 9:00 pm. That’s not how you regain my business. It’s absolutely a shame because the ice cream is great. The customer service is no good at all.

Very nice building and the landscaping is pretty. It was funny thought that serve malts but on this day 7.17.21 they couldn’t. Why? They ran out of malt powder. You’d think since they have Malt in the name of the business that whoever is in charge of inventory would keep that stocked . Fail there. But everything else was great!

The staff didn’t seem to know what the specialty shakes actually included, then when I showed them what the sign said they said it was wrong.
Then they still put whipped cream when I stayed multiple times I did not want it.
Aside from that tiny mistake, I will return.
I do find it bizarre that they do not offer drinks aside from water.
