The food was average at best. What is great and sad in the same sentence is this a family type place, but it is encouraging its customers to carry loaded guns inside. Not a place I want to bring the family to and have the table next to me carrying an assault rife just because you can. Good luck with your business.
On the food the fries were not good. The fried pickles had only breading…could not find the pickle. I have much better burgers than this place. Someone rated it as one of the best Burgers in Houston….that person must have been drunk.

My Shack burger was delicious. Grilled onions are a free add-on. Fries are thin and seasoned. Fried zucchini is a bit heavily breaded but good. My daughter’s chicken strips looked fresh and not too breaded. She enjoyed them.
The new reality of living in TX for me is going to include avoiding restaurants that allow guns. I can recommend the food here, but I’m sorry to say my family won’t be back.

Went there with the family, husband and two kids. Burgers were ok, but the people behind the counter didn’t know what it meant when you wanted something extra on the side. They only gave us onion rings, but they did get the fries to us after we had to explain what they meant. But the onion rings were nasty. They tasted like they were fried in old grease and reheated. So we got milk shakes at the end, and the cookie one they have is an odd taste. Too little chocolate and not enough flavor.

I work close by, so I decided to try this place since they have buffalo burgers. I love me a good buffalo burger. But for $13 plus, it’s not that great. That’s not including the fries and drink, which came close to $18 plus. I did not know the prices of the burgers since they are not on their web site. And when I ordered for pick up over the phone, they didn’t tell me my total. Now I know why. Bubba’s Texas Burger Shack has the best burgers and buffalo burgers, in town, and at far far less price. The fries at Burger Shack are ok, but on the web site it displays curly fries, which they don’t have. The burger itself didn’t taste as great as a buffalo burger I have tried should. Even if you have the money, I would not recommend.

This was my second time here with my husband. They messed up out bun choice and to remedy that the cook just switched the tops of our buns. So my burger was a jalapeño top with a white bottom. With that, my burger came back with no cheese. They were not busy so in my mind there is no reason for mistakes and lazyness like this. Not sure when or if we will return. The burgers and fries were still tasty and delicious. Great decor.

Went there my first time today and it was AWFUL! I took my mother and daughter, my mother has been sick ever since eating the “Blu cheese burger” at 12pm and it is now 7,(thankfully she only ate half). My daughter usually will eat all her french fries and then mine, but not here, they are loaded with grease, no potato left inside. I had a cheese burger, how do you mess up a cheese burger at a place that specializes in “Burgers”?? It was sooooo dry, they took it back and when he brought me another, it was loaded in GREASE!! The lettuce was soaked in it!! It must have made them upset I didn’t like the burger because the second one was as if they put it in the deep fryer, lettuce was soaked in grease, bun was soaked in grease! If you like to eat grease go there, even McDonald’s is a better choice and less grease! OMG! I will NEVER go back!!!

I’ve only had the Veggie Burger there and it is perfectly fine, no complaints. I hope they will get some Vegenaise soon to make it (more) vegan than it is. I don’t care much for the overly busy decor but the place is clean and the service is fast.

Great burger. Went today and had a bacon cheeseburger with pepperjack cheese. Wife had a turkey burger. Very tasty burgers. Good whole wheat bun that was heated. Skinny fries were crispy and seasoned well.
