I must add that the diner is next door to the Tavern and shares menu and drinks.
Place is very big and typically you will find a seat!
Menu is HUGE and it would take me years to try all of it – but they have options for each meal of the day and each taste and diet…
I opted for a crock of chilly – always a sure win and buffalo chicken wrap. My son had chicken noodle soup (which was huge) and a cheese steak. Comes well equipped with fries of your choice, coleslaw and a tasty pickle…
Over the years – calamari, nachos, wings, gyros and buffalo chicken salad – have all been our family favorites. Deserts (if you have room left) are always great!!!
Tons of parking, high chairs for kids, right off rt 15 – access from either side.
If you want a traditional Greek Diner NJ experience – they are one of the best (and i have been to ALOT of diners)
Huge menu with options for everyone. Tons of space for patrons & very, very clean dining area. Service is also great they accommodated changes to my order as requested
My favorite dish here is their Moussaka platter, absolutely DELICIOUS !!! Best one I’ve ever had. Huge portion comes with soup, greek salad, and pita. The bechamel topping always cooked perfectly.
Thank you for many years of delicious food !! Also I think Guy Fierri and many other famous people have come to dine here. It’s a true gem !

The overall atmosphere of the Jefferson Diner is warm and inviting, with a classic diner look and a large menu that includes plenty of dietary options—always a plus. I ordered an orange juice, coffee, a crock of French onion soup, and a Reuben sandwich.
Most of the meal was solid—the coffee and Reuben were both satisfying, and everyone else at the table seemed happy with their dishes. The only miss for me was the French onion soup. It arrived with two slices of cheese draped over the top that were more burnt than melted. The broth, which I think is the heart of any French onion soup, lacked depth and tasted watered down. It was also topped with fried onion strands that ended up tough and stringy—not a great combination.
That said, I chalked it up to ordering soup early in the day and probably should’ve stuck with breakfast. Despite the soup, the service and overall experience were still positive enough that I’d definitely consider giving it another shot.
They’re all about Google pic views (see attached), so get some eyeballs on this one and let’s rack it up!
