In Southern Thailand, when something tastes truly special, not just delicious but deeply satisfying we say Roy Jang Hoo It’s the inspiration behind our name. To us,Roy is more than a word. It’s a feeling we hope every guest experiences. Southern Thai cuisine is bold, soulful and shaped by centuries of cultural exchange. Influences from Chinese broths and Southeast Asian curries, spices and stews and coconut milk to create something uniquely Southern. At Roy, we cook with care, pride, and an abiding love for our homemade. Each plate is deep, memorable and a journey because when food comes from the heart, it is truly Roy Jang Hoo.

We love this place. Every dish we’ve had has been super flavorful! We’ve been here multiple times in the last few months and the quality and service are consistent. We’ve also been bringing our newborn and haven’t had any issues. The only issue I have is their pricing: it’s notably more expensive than other Thai restaurants. HOWEVER, it’s also better than most other Thai restaurants around.

One of the best Thai restaurants in Seattle! Very authentic cuisine and even better customer service. Every time I go here I feel like I’m part of their family. I appreciate the unique dishes that you can’t get elsewhere. Imagine southern hospitality but in Seattle! My favorite was the braised beef belly! Good hint of sweetness and savoriness. The roti bread was perfect in chewiness and flavor. The spicy dish we got had a powerful kick of spice. The curry dumplings puffs were so good, I could eat the breading by itself. The tea was very refreshing and good to clean the palate after a meal. The fried pineapple was unique and tasty! I highly recommend and would come back!

I’m Thai so I always have high expectations for Thai restaurants. But this place I would give 10 out of 5 stars if I could. I don’t see much Southern Thai food in the area, so this is new and exciting.

They accommodated our 6-person reservation. The portions are on the smaller side, which let us try many dishes. I can say everything we tried was really delicious and authentic. The main highlight was MUU KHO. We had to order it twice. The spiciness level isn’t really at the level of southern food you’d find in Thailand, but I understand why. Myself, from central Thailand, cannot handle the real southern spiciness either, so this was perfect for us.

Service was great and very attentive. There are many other dishes we didn’t try, and we will definitely come back.

The food was delicious, the Roy Khao Yum salad had amazing flavor and definitely worth getting with every meal. We also enjoyed the Moo Hong braised pork, though we wished it was a bit bigger portion size. Service was very attentive and kind, would come again!

First time trying Southern Thai cuisine and we were blown away! The food here is so good! We went during lunch so we could take advantage of their lunch specials…and there were so many items to choose from.
I highly recommend the Hat Yai Plate, Lamb Curry Bowl, and Khua Kling. Everything was delicious.
The staff were so friendly and welcoming! They even took the time to explain the dishes in detail.
Definitely recommend this restaurant if you are in the Phinney Ridge neighborhood!

Very unique Thai food, different from what you’d normally find in the area! We had the karee puffs, the hat yai fried chicken, the phad Thai chaiya, the muu hong, and the khua kling. They are all excellent! They also serve a great Thai iced tea. My only complaint is that the portions are pretty small, so maybe order a few dishes more than you might think.

We came here for lunch on a regular day. The atmosphere was warm and clean. The food was delicious, portions were just right, and prices were reasonable. If you’re in the area, I highly recommend this place.

Roy Southern Thai Cuisine is fantastic. The mataba was golden and flavorful, the fried chicken perfectly crispy, and the pork belly rich and savory. The grilled fish with herbs was fresh and fragrant, and the drinks were just as good as the food. Great service and cozy vibe, I’ll definitely be back.

This was pretty disappointing for someone who likes southern thai food. I had the jor rhang and the Hat Yai friend chicken. The jor rhang was western vegetables in coconut milk. Southern thai food is supposed to be spicy, but this was more bland your average Seattle pad thai. The spices were a off on the chicken, and the shallots were soft rather than fried.
