I’d go here when I crave American-style sushi, but I don’t trust them for hot food. The sushi roll I got was quite good and generous especially for the price. However, the clear soup and tentsuyu were severely lacking.
In traditional Japanese cuisine, clear soup is considered one of the most important dishes. It’s the measuring stick for the kitchen’s skill and palate: ingredient quality aside, can they properly extract flavors from simple ingredients and balance the ratios? Unfortunately, the answer here is no. This was an assault of salt and scallion without the gentle sweetness from dried seafood. My homemade version’s much better. The tentsuyu was likewise unpleasantly off-balance, just salty with no detectable mirin.
I’d come here again, but I’d strictly stick to the rolls.

The Other Fish is a hidden gem near Main Street in Bethlehem. We have dined in and had takeout from here many times and are always so happy with the service, ambiance, and everything they offer. Today, we started with the spicy seafood soup, inari with spicy tuna and shrimp tempura, and the black truffle tuna appetizer, which were all delicious. We also ordered 4 sushi rolls – spicy lover, snow goose, tracy, and tipper. All were fantastic and left us wanting more!

Best sushi in the area, hands down. BYOB. The garlic tuna app is to die for, and their other dishes are unique and flavorful. It’s a small place and you will be squished unless you get the big table in the front, but I liken it to an authentic izakaya-style experience. The service is always prompt and friendly. Highly recommend.

The Other Fish is *so good*. It’s a small business in a small restaurant run by the best staff. Yuri is great, and the man who makes the sushi (sorry, not on a first name basis with him) is so talented! Everything is made with such care and the ingredients are always fresh. “The Other Fish” sushi roll is the best I’ve had, though the Blue Crab, the Natalie, and the Dragon roll are all great too. If you’re in the area, absolutely make a reservation for this place!

This spot is great. It feels welcoming and staff is attentive and positive. Sushi was phenomenal and service speed was fast. A great vibe inside – would love to see some more outdoor seating options. Def will be coming back.

Best sushi ever! I’ve been going here for 10 years with my family and no place does it like The Other Fish.

Despite being called The Other Fish this restaurant is the only fish game in town doing something special with sushi. The restaurant is cozy and maintains more of a BYOB Izakaya vibe. The staff is warm and welcoming and the food is truly very good. No other sushi restaurant is trying anything other than typical rolls and the fish is equally generous and fresh. The restaurant is cash and venmo only and is priced at least 25% below the area’s average.

WOW! I just tried this the other night for the first time and was super impressed. I had a hard time choosing, everything sounded delicious. They have a few specials that really seemed out-of-the-box amazing… I cannot wait to go back! I think I found my new go to sushi restaurant. The staff was very attentive without being pushy. Loved the small, intimate setting. You can see the kitchen and watch the chef prepare your food. Definitely call ahead for reservations. MUST TRY!

The Other Fish serves the best sushi in the Lehigh Valley, hands down. The menu is fresh, creative, and consistently delicious. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with friendly staff that, makes every visit feel like you just showed up to hang out with your friends. If sushi isn’t your thing, the noodle bowls are incredible also. An essential part of the intimate atmosphere, the limited seating is best for a small party. A must-visit for any sushi lover in the area.

Always very good. Like the Spicy Seafood Soup. Godzilla roll was a bit doughy.
