Tried to go to the website to do this but it’s glitching. Our server, Miss Julia was great! Very personable and was on top of all of her tables. She’s definitely management material. Considering it was Valentine’s Day and very busy, the food and overall service (including the people who brought out the food) was outstanding!

Had a date with my spouse for the first time in a long time here. They gave us a cozy booth, helped navigate my allergies, and checked in frequently to be sure we enjoyed our meal. The grilled shrimp appetizer was delicious. The salads were very satisfying. The potatoes were tasty. But the star was the steaks.
My steak first came out a bit overly charred. I wasn’t planning to make a fuss, but the lovely server Macey (SP?) saw that it was a bit overdone, and took it back to fix it. Her manager Bill cooked the replacement himself, and made sure it was done the way I needed it to be. Spouse got filet mignon, but agreed that my ribeye was even better.
It was a delightful experience, and we’re very glad we went. Thank you for the sweet date you helped us have!

Recommend! Good food, great service, and nice comfortable dining atmosphere. We sat out on their patio which was very nice, first time going to an Outback Steakhouse with a patio, great idea, definitely adds to atmosphere/vibe of the restaurant. Great location just off of downtown and the river, quiet area. Recommend checking Outback Steakhouse out!

3 people, 3 plates; 1. Stake skewers (well done) with loaded potato 2. 6oz stake (medium)& aussie chicken with loaded potato 3. 6oz stake(well done) & aussie chicken with loaded potato.
Took over an hour for our dishes to be served, people who arrived after us were served and done before we even got food on the table.
Order 1 the stake was rare thankfully the waitress overheard us mention this and offered to make a new plate. We asked for it to go ahead and be boxed up due to the time it took to cook the first round. Plate 2 the stake was cold, but not worth the time to send back to wait. Plate 3 the stake was medium rare when expressly asked for well done. Not only was it NOT done, but it was tough and had zero flavor.
The chickens were great but overall very small, and everyone seemed to enjoy the loaded potatoes.
That is one statehouse I won’t be ordering a stake from again.

Usually this is a statement you make about McDonald’s…the food doesn’t look like the menu. This was true for the Alice Chicken. No bed of mushroom, just three dry slices, a little shredded cheese, no sauce. And a McDs strip of bacon. That said it was a good chicken breast. The presentation of the plate was sloppy. The service was too fast. So fast the appetizer came after the entree. Drinks were empty. And the sirloin is a bit tough, though cooked to an honest medium rare. Don’t bother with the blooming onion, it’s a greasy thing with only the horseradish dip to save the appetizer from the garbage bin.

Went on a Monday night around 8:30pm no wait time. Sever greeted right away and took our drink order. We got the blackberry martini and was delicious. Also ordered the blooming onion, it was crispy and easy to peel apart. We ordered the the sirloin with chicken with side veggies. And the ribeye. They were cooked exactly how we requested. Server came through a few times to make sure we were ok or needed anything. Overall a great experience.

I went there tonight, one of the busiest nights of the year (Valentines Day). 30 min wait which wasn’t bad considering, as I was being seated I slipped and fell, and crickets!!!! Literally NOBODY asked me if I was ok not one person from the staff the hostess just looked at me with a dumb look on her face. She didn’t even report it to her management. So I basically sat there in pain through my meal. Our server was very polite and on her game tonight that was the only reason I’m giving a 4 star review. Just disappointed that no one from the the staff asked if I was okay. My knees and shins are badly bruised, and I can barely walk due to my this fall.

This was a special night for my spouse and I as it was our Anniversary. We told the host as we were celebrating our 6th Anniversary and he forwarded that to LUZ, our server for the evening. Our food was great. We both had a steak combo. We felt like valued patrons. Nick, the manager, not only greeted us at the host podium with the host but was hands on with his crew to help bring out some of our food.
I normally don’t choose Outback in New Bern to dine because of past experiences, but last night changed my perspective about this location. I am sorta looking forward to having a repeat date night there because the food temp was on point. The staff we interacted with was also on point. What wowed me was the the complimentary dessert which is a lost art of customer service that I don’t hear about too often anymore. I was a nice personal touch. Thank you so much.
