The place is cute, but the food wasn’t great. The prices are reasonable. However, I found hair in my taco, and the plate wasn’t clean. I did get new tacos after informing the waitress. I noticed one of the kitchen staff didn’t wear a hairnet, which would be a good practice. When it comes to my food, I expect cleanliness. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning to this place.

Stopped in because I wanted to try a new breakfast place. Delicious. But Hope made the experience great. She makes you feel like you’re the only person in the restaurant and was super helpful on what to choose from the menu. 10/10 service

Only time I’ve felt the need to leave a review of a business. Came with a group of 4 people at 10:30 for breakfast and got seated within 10 minutes, all good so far. My friends have been here before and had great things to say about the place so I’m excited. We sat and waited for over an hour for our food, (mostly French toast, scrambled eggs, and bacon) as tables around us with 6+ people sit down, order, get their food, clean their plates, pay their bills and leave. At one point I refill my water off a pitcher on the bar because our waiter goes MIA. Finally it gets to the point where we are ready to go get food somewhere else because we’re STARVING watching everyone around us eating. We ask if we can just cancel the order. The server (who told us 20 minutes ago our food was coming right out) gets mad and says “it’s literally coming out now”. We feel forced to sit down again and eat. Food is all good minus the French toast that 3 of us had ordered. It is borderline inedible, sopping wet with egg batter. For taking over an hour to get to the table, it should have been cooked, and it’s the only thing one of my now very hungry friends had ordered. We are approached after breakfast by the manager (maybe?) who says it sounds like there’s been a problem…. We say yes, we don’t want to be rude but we waited over an hour for undercooked food. She tells us their “system” only shows we were waiting 22 minutes. Oof. She ended up giving us a discount on the meal so I cannot give one star, but owning the mistake would have saved a bad review in the first place. Just check the cameras if ya really want to see how long we sat I suppose.

We stumbled upon this place while driving around in G.R. and wanted to try some breakfast. We had the bronuts, vegetarian tacos and some French toast. All were absolutely amazing! The banana French toast was probably the best French toast I’ve ever tried so be warned you will want it again!

This place has great food and awesome breakfast cereal shakes. Sadly they are grossly understaffed in front of house and I spent 60 minutes waiting for two coffees and three to-go milkshakes on a not-busy Saturday morning at 9am. Absurd. They had one wait staff trying to handle around 5 tables, and it simply was not working out. My kid was supernaturally patient as the shakes sat prepared in the mixer machines for nearly 20 minutes while food for other tables was delivered in waves.

If you’re looking for a great brunch spot in Grand Rapids, Good Truckin in Eastown is definitely worth checking out. We finally made it there and were really impressed with both the food and the experience.

For this visit, we were in more of a lunch mood and decided on the Steen’s Revenge Sandwich—Nashville hot chicken, fries, slaw, pickles, American cheese, ranch, and BBQ on grilled sourdough. It was packed with flavor and had just the right amount of heat.

We also tried the Hillbilly Fries, which were loaded with braised pork, cheddar cheese, cheese sauce, slaw, and BBQ. They were delicious, but the portions are big—if you’re ordering them as a meal, the half order is more than enough!

Aside from the food, we really appreciated how clean the space was. We sat up at the bar with a clear view into the kitchen and were impressed by how well it was maintained. Our server was also really friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better.

Overall, we had a great visit and are already looking forward to going back to try more of the menu.

The food was great. Their fries are really good!! However, on the day we went, the kitchen kept popping out dish after dish and the wait staff wasn’t serving any of it (11 plates and a basket were sat on the counter).
We waited about 40 minutes for our food!!
They were also out of a lot of ingredients this day in particular.
Hopefully this isn’t a common occurrence!! Maybe they were understaffed that day… I’ll be back a different day and see how it goes! Pictured is the Naughty by Nature Burrito. They were out of taters and roasted veggies for the filling… It was still good though.

My girl and I enjoyed this stop ,fun little place. Even though we had to wait a total of 47 minutes after we ordered our food, I’m sure there was a good excuse and seeing this was our first time there we can overlook that. We didn’t quite understand how the table next to us walked in after us and they got their food 10 minutes before us ..?.. but again I’m sure there was a good excuse. We will visit this diner again because our breakfast was very good. They have a lot of southwest style breakfast on the menu with a fun little twist. Next time we’re in GR we will forsure be making another breakfast stop here. Cheers!

We were on a trip to Grand Rapids and decided to try this place for breakfast. It was fantastic! We’ve had breakfast in dozens of places and this is definitely one I would try again. I love that I can get French toast that also comes with potatoes and meat. My food was great – I could taste the cinnamon in the French toast, the seasoned potatoes were crispy and fresh, and the bacon was thick. My dad orders a ham and cheese omelette with American cheese at every restaurant, and this one was perfect – cheesy and well-cooked. We were there on a Thursday morning so it was not busy, the service was fine but not overly friendly. If we were in the area again I would come back and try some of the other interesting options.
