Love the 50’s vibe and relaxed atmosphere here. The kids love all the nostalgic statues from the Chipmonks, the Shoney’s Bigboy, even Barbie’s oversized Ken. They have a Lock of Love Fence made of two big metal hearts, and they sell locks for couples to attach on it. There is an attached antique shop, that also has a display of antique toys and an old timey candy store attached as well. Thwy have unique sitting areas outside for during warmer weather, that includes a trolley car, a toy train and some ice cream waffle cone table and chair sets. For the little kids, there is a miniature Route 66 roadway course painted on the concreted sitting area, with small push riding toys they can ride around.

We had cheeseburgers, fries, chili and salads; all were great!

The double burgers were more than I could eat; but perfect for my husband! After we finished our food, we topped it off with ice cream for dessert! They have several flavors and styles; from hand dipped, to soft serve, to dipping dots; in various different flavors! They offer various toppings and sundae options as well!

A great place for the entire family!

They have a large flat-screen TV mounted on the wall and during a visit while the kids were on Christmas break, we watched the “It’s a Wonderful Life” movie as we ate our supper!

This is one of our new favorite hang outs when we are in the area!

Service was good for what it is. We had a group of 9 people and the breakfast took about an hour to get to our table. Served on a plastic plate with plastic tableware. My $9 omelet was beyond depressing with a pinch of vegetables and paper thin. My sister’s hash browns were about a tablespoon of shredded potatoes pressed flat. My wife didn’t even get her food. Pancakes and bacon were good though.

There is so much to love about Twistee Treat Diner! I’ve been here one other time, and I didn’t know how much there was to offer. They cook food by order, so you will experience a wait, especially if there are multiple people ahead of you, so my recommendation….we looked around at some statues and explored a little, then ordered. While waiting on our food, we proceeded to check out the inside of the diner, explored the other statues, took some fun and silly photos, and our food was ready! We enjoyed a wonderful meal! Then, we explored the candy store (TONS of fun options) and antique shop and returned back to the diner order window for our yummy, ice cream dessert. There’s a huge variety of statues and fun things to explore, so kids of all ages would have a blast and find something they are excited about. Twistee Treat Diner is definitely worth exploring and making memories!

Such a fun place to go! We will have to come back in the day time to check the museum out! We stopped after dark for a burger, fries, and ice cream. It was all delicious. Definitely worth the stop.

Update: We stopped for ice cream and they have soft serve sour cherry ice-cream right now! Along with vanilla and chocolate soft serve. They also have a variety of hand scooped flavors available. It was all delicious!

We have passed this place dozens of times every year! Today the wife say, “Let’s check it out and have lunch”… great choice! Fast, clean and polite… with my crew that’s important! Great burgers and fries, the way they used to be and should be! We will be back! Please stop in and check them out!

Nice diner in southern Illinois. Good burgers and an amazing array of milk shakes. Lots of memorabilia and a great fudge next door.

This place was really busy, but the young teen girls serving patrons their burgers and ice cream were delightful and kind. It’s a fun stop and the food was quite good! My husband had a double cheeseburger basket with fries and a root beer. He said it was great, and I have to agree about my grilled chicken sandwich, with a lightly toasted bun. It was better than expected and of very good quality.
