This isn’t great, but not awful. Just mediocre steakhouse kind of place, which is not what the reviews and ratings made me think it would be. I think it’s because it’s conveniently located and near all the hotels and right off the highway and doesn’t suck, the ratings are a bit skewed. Service was fine, everyone was friendly. Got a wrong beer, didn’t want to waste it, but also wasn’t comped anything for the servers mistake. Wild game burger was okay – nothing special, but not bad. Wedge salad was a normal wedge salad – too much dressing for me and could’ve used more bacon or toss in some onion or tomato. I added sirloin to the salad and it was cooked well. The star of the show were the fries and rodeo sauce. Those were delightful.

Rib & Chop House in Billings is excellent!
We started with the blue cheese wedge salad — top. Then the three of us shared the 38oz côte de bœuf (ribeye on the bone), which was quite the experience. It came out sizzling on a hot cast-iron pan, and the waiter poured garlic, rosemary, and butter over it tableside — a real showstopper that turned heads for a moment! The aroma was fantastic, and the steak kept cooking at the table so you could get it just how you like it.

It came with five sides, all of which were good. For the quality and portion size, the price was also an amazing deal for the three of us.

Service was very friendly. The decor could be a bit nicer, but honestly, with food and service at that level, it’s not something to complain about.
We came on a Sunday at 5 p.m., and not long after, the place filled up.

Our first time there and it was amazing. We went on Valentines day so we made a reservation, which I would suggest.
Our server, Nate, was fantastic, very sassy and upbeat.
Our food cam out one course at a time, rather than all at one time, which is a wonderful change from other restaurants.
We started with the combo platter, then had the cotê de bouef, with a side salad and the seafood bisque.

Definitely worth a visit.

My wife and I were looking for some great food, and maybe a glass of wine or a cocktail. We have always had a really fun experience at the Rib & Chop House. It was Friday night and things were hopping busy. We had no reservation, but found two seats at the bar. It was just pure fun! Trent and Caitlyn, our bartender and server, did everything that they could to make us feel welcomed and well served. Every bite was delicious, and it was fun to watch the show of experienced bartenders performing their trade in front of us. We left with a smile on our face, and it put a wonderful exclamation point on an otherwise fine evening! We are looking forward to coming back!

We had a nice dinner. We had a party of 6. We made reservations. We were able to chat and enjoy our meal.
All of our steaks were well cooked and seasoned. Two members of our party got lobster tail with their steaks, both felt like the lobster was over cooked. However, for the most part we were very pleased with our dinner out.

The service was amazing: attentive, friendly, and quick. I ordered the chicken fried steak. It wasn’t the best I’ve ever had, but it definitely wasn’t the worst either. My wife had the chicken Alfredo, and it was excellent. The portions were good across the board. We’ll be back.

You need to remove the elk kabobs from your menu until you can prepare them properly. Would love to share the photos of our second plate after returning the first. Absolutely disgusting grey, fatty meat, and complete with silver skin. Whole table lost our appetite and missed out on a fun birthday celebration. Not to mention the famous filet steak order sent back twice. Overcooked, then came back raw. I even had to ask if the cut was a filet which the service never came back to answer. It was thin and wide unlike the typical Filet. 2/5 adult plates were unedible and only 1 person finished their meal after viewing your served elk meat. What an utter disappointment for a bill over $200.

I’ve always loved visiting and dining at Rib & Chop House. For years, I’ve brought my entire staff here for our annual Christmas dinner, and it’s become a tradition we’ve really enjoyed. The food has consistently been excellent, and the restaurant’s yearly gift card promotion has always been a huge help when planning our event.

However, I recently ran into an issue that was disappointing. Whenever I purchase the promotional gift cards, I make a point to ask the waitstaff to use those promo cards first since they come with expiration dates. Unfortunately, when we used our remaining cards from last year, the server didn’t apply the promo ones. Because of that, those cards expired, and we ended up losing $40.

While the food is still fantastic, the customer service in this situation was lacking. This experience has made me reconsider whether we’ll return for our Christmas party in the future. My advice to other customers: enjoy the great food, but always double-check which gift cards are being used so you don’t lose money.

Although it does get crazy busy in there it seems, the atmosphere was perfect!

I had fish and chips. It was excellent. Not greasy at all. Coffee was great. My partner had chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes. That’s more than anyone could eat by themselves
