Great seafood!! Our waitress at 1:30 pm ( on the left side when you walk in the door) on Saturday Feb 21, 2026 was very good! We ordered the combo platters. I loved my grilled shrim and fried oysters!!

Not my favorite seafood place. Ordered the peeled shrimp which were small, over seasoned and some were mushy. They were also very hard to peel. Husband didn’t care for the fish and chips either. He thought the fryer grease hadn’t been changed for awhile.

That was very excited to try this place out, but ended up being majorly disappointed.
Orderd the seafood platter with onion rings and corn on the cob.
I ordered it fried, and all of the seafood tasted like it was cooked in 2-month-old over burnt oil.
It was not good at all, and to top it off everything was overcooked to the point that the oysters were crunchy inside.
The sides were no better, the onion rings we’re actually a slimy ball of onion strings.
The corn on the cob I ordered, came out as coleslaw. And when I reminded the waitress that I had corn, she brought out another thing of coleslaw…
The service was friendly but inattentive. Aside from the sides mess up, I asked for cocktail sauce multiple times, and they kept giving me tartar sauce.
I specifically said cocktail, and pointed out it was red.
But they still just brought out tartar sauce.
I will compliment them on their carrot cake, it was the only good thing.
However, I definitely won’t be coming back.

Good service. Had the crab legs, they were over cooked and bland. Nothing fancy with the butter. I had hush puppies, green beans, and house made coleslaw. The hush puppies were dry and hard. The green beans are awful straight from the can and into a microwave or appears. The Cole slaw is bland and more than likely pre-made and spooned out of a container. Came around 7PM on a Monday. Maybe the fish will be better

The overall experience was very nice. Our party had Catfish, Grouper and Fish and Chips, everything tasted fresh and cooked perfectly. The hushpuppies and French fries were crisp and seasoned very well. One observation however was the title flooring was slippery and people were walking cautiously.

My wife and I went there last Saturday night. We’ve been there many times we live 40 miles west of this restaurant. but we enjoy the Seafood traveling that many miles does not make a differences when you find the best seafood ever. Also, I’ll add my wife enjoy the clam so much that I just picked up 200 clams from them today. these are the best looking clams I’ve ever bought which we will have for dinner tonight Great Place. My mom, her boyfriend and I came up here for lunch. My mom got the Shrimp and grits, which was a huge portion. My mom’s boyfriend got The Captain’s Cheeseburger and fries, and I got The Crabby Patty lunch special, which came with two hush puppies and a side of fries. For an appetizer, we got the fried pickles. Everything was absolutely delicious. (The sauce on my Crabby Patty is a remoulade sauce was was phenomenal). We all ended up getting some cake to go. (Not pictured). I got the chocolate, my mom got the banana cake and my mom’s boyfriend got the coconut cake. Definitely recommend this place.

We just had an excellent experience and wonderful food at the Deland Fish House! I was there with a large group and all of our orders were correct, timely and hot! We had fresh, crisp salads, frog legs, shrimp, gater, fried squash, Talia, grouper, okra, red potatoes, cheesy grits and more! We all went home with cake! Our waitress served us with great communication and care! Thank you for a wonderful dinner! We will come back!
