We tried the thai dumplings, delicious and beautiful! 4 dumplings, with scallions lettuce to make it extra appetizing and visually gorgeous.
Red curry with shrimp (5 shrimp cooked perfectly) regular spice was awesome, excellent flavors and beautiful fresh veggies within the dish. (I would probably get mild next time, regular was a little much for me).
Drunken noodles with shrimp were excellent too and the portion was very normal sized and had 5 shrimp.
I was hesitant ordering because the reviews were mixed…ours was delicious and big round of applause for the amazing staff working in a major snow storm! I asked for extra container and utensils and very happy to help me.
The decor was very special inside and I would definitely eat in.
Thank you Thai Basil!
✅ Papaya Salad: Fresh, vibrant, and flavorful—just the right balance of tanginess and spice. A great start to the meal!
❌ Jungle Curry: Unfortunately, this dish was far too salty for my taste. I sent it back, and the staff kindly replaced it with Green Curry.
✅ Green Curry: Creamy and aromatic with tender vegetables and chicken. It definitely redeemed the meal!
However, the dining experience overall was a bit underwhelming. The restaurant atmosphere was uncomfortably cold, making it difficult to fully enjoy the meal. Additionally, the staff were not attentive, which left me feeling overlooked during my visit.
Would I return? Perhaps for the papaya salad and green curry, but I’d hope for a warmer environment and better service next time.
Expensive.
I understand January is a slow time of year but when there are customers present any server should be attentive and alert.
A little training by management in this regard would help.
Overall the experience was good, no issues with the food quality or atmosphere.
I ordered the Pad Kee Mao & Thai Iced Tea dinner combo for $22.95. Thai Iced Tea tasted pretty authentic, not too sweet. The drunken noodles were average. They didn’t ask about the spice level, and it was just mildly spicy. I liked the variety of vegetables in it, but the green beans were a little too raw for me. With tax and tip, it was close to $30. For what you paid for, it was a little bit underwhelming.
This is the most expensive Thai restaurant in town. It’s grossly overpriced for what you’re getting. Do not expect to get anything spicy (despite this being Thai restaurant). Dishes were extremely mild, and had little flavor to them. I got the pineapple curry, and it didn’t have the vegetables in it that were listed in the menu description. For $20+ per dish that is disappointing, to say the least. Portions were such that no one in my party had any leftovers (dinner portions, not the lunch menu).
When we wanted to split the check (which we told the server multiple times at the beginning of placing our orders) but they presented us with one bill. When we finally got them to understand we wanted to split the check two ways they were annoyed, and didn’t come back for almost 10 mins. All said and done we were overcharged by $10, but it wasn’t worth mentioning. We just wanted to be done with the place.
Do not recommend this restaurant. There’s several other, cheaper, more tasty Thai restaurants in town.
We all agreed to never return to this restaurant.
