My new favorite Tahoe restaurant. Sad that it took us so many years to find this place. We started with the poke cones which were incredible. Great presentation and attention to detail and the very mild wasabe cream in the base was a great touch. I had the Thai seafood stew and loved every bit of it. Great blend of subtle flavors and loaded with high quality seafood. As good as those were, the winner was my wife’s Miso Cod. Absolutely amazing. Cooked perfectly. The best we ever tasted. We ate at the bar and the service and vibe were spectacular. Pete the bartender was awesome. Added bonus we got to meet chef Douglas who is incredibly nice and interesting man. Just a wonderful evening

Once again, we had a fantastic dining experience at Wolfdales Restaurant. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere felt elegant yet comfortable – perfect for a special night out in Tahoe.
The service truly stood out, especially thanks to Alejandro, who was exceptional. He was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely warm, offering thoughtful recommendations and making the entire evening feel relaxed and well cared for.
The food was outstanding across the board. The Ahi Poke Cones were fresh and beautifully balanced. The Gyoza Dumplings were perfectly cooked, flavorful, and a great way to start the meal – our 8-year-old consumed two dishes. The Lobster Tempura was light, crispy, and indulgent without feeling heavy – a heavenly experience.
For entrées, the Tuscan Seafood Stew was rich and comforting, loaded with fresh seafood and deep, savory flavors. The Beef Bourguignon was equally impressive – tender, hearty, and full of classic, slow-cooked depth.
Overall, Wolfdales, a Michelin-worthy restaurant, delivers an exceptional combination of refined cuisine, outstanding service, and a welcoming atmosphere. Thanks to Alejandro and the entire team for a memorable evening – we will absolutely be back!

Easily one of the best restaurants in the area. The atmosphere was great. The bartender was very attentive and knowledgable and really made the meal great. The Chef you could tell was very passionate about his food and recipes, as the food was delicious and unique which made the meal exciting. Probably the best meal we had in Tahoe.

Amazing food and service. Every single thing we ordered was delicious. A party of 6 and zero complaints; everyone enjoyed their entrees. We tried almost everything on the menu. Don’t skip the appetizers, especially the smoked trout and oysters. The bourguignon was tender and fell apart. The seafood stew was bright and fresh. The desserts were unique and also amazing. Would be a great spot for a birthday or special occasion. Highly recommend.

Surf and turf was perfect. Great chowder, good dumplings. Ambiance is airy with plenty of space between fellow dinners. Amenities are clean and taken care of. Portions leave room for desert and if the service was faster I would have tried that along with a port. We got bored looking at the sweets menu and then impatient. Thankfully we did not have to wait for the check.

One of the best restaurants in Tahoe City… some tasty and unique flavors with Asian fusion. Good seafood and steak and a wide selection of drinks. Gyoza was our favorite appetizer we had here. Nice atmosphere and decor and outdoor seating with lake views during the summer months. Recommended.

The fish and chips wasn’t bad but the risotto was flavorless. They were short staffed to it took a while to be helped on a few occasions by the nice staff members.
While the restaurant is well designed, it was quite loud and felt a little uncomfortable in a way I can’t put into words well.
Overall, it was too expensive for bland food and an average experience.

Nice restaurant with ample parking in front and the side. I’d say best seats in the house are on the outside patio, on the second floor, to see great views. The bottom outside area is nice also, especially the fireplace table in the corner, underneath trees.
Asian fusion, I was impressed by their tempura oysters and poke cones. Entrees were pretty good.
Appreciate them accommodating an elderly member in my party who couldn’t get up on the high chairs, so they moved us to another table. Waitress was attentive and charming.
Nice place to walk on the docks just a few minutes after to burn some calories after a large/ heavy meal.

Words cannot adequately describe the amazing meal my wife and I just had. We were looking for a grocery store and passed Wolfdale’s. My wife looked it up on her Find Me Gluten Free app which never fails us and it got rave reviews. Our waiter, Bob, immediately knew that my wife had food allergies that she needed to work with. We’ve been to many restaurants including Michelin Star restaurants but never had we had a meal like this. We both had the salmon but because of my wife’s allergies it had to be prepared differently from mine, but with were incredible. As a starter we had the Asian beets which were great as well. If we lived here we would likely be eating here very often. The chef has been been here since March 1978 and we understand why. You will be amazed if you frequent Wolfdale’s.
