Tomas Cafe opened in mid 2000 and is located in Historic Downtown Oxnard. We are walking distance to Heritage Square and Gold Coast Transit. Oxnard is home to 23 pristine miles of coastal beaches and the wondrous Channel Islands. We offer delicious breakfast and lunch daily. Tomas Cafe pushes the creation of local and seasonal ingredients of the famed surrounding bounty of agricultural harvest. We offer a private room for larger parties or meeting space.

It was my first time and I’d definitely come back! The food was delicious. Here you order and the counter and seat yourself. We all shared a cinnamon roll, it was 4 of us, so to share was perfect, especially while we waited for our food. I ordered the chiliquiles burrito, which was delicious. It was big, I had to save half to take home. The salsas were delicious as well. Ambiance was vibrant and the service was kind.

Good coffee, very well put together menu. The Morelia style sauce is the only place in town or probably ventura county that tastes great like this! Everything else I’ve tried on the menu has been fantastic as well. Good job Tomas!

Tomas Cafe is the place to be! Had one of the most memorable brunches with my lady on Sunday. Service was top notch, food was very good (in big portions!) and the atmosphere was very family friendly.
You HAVE TO try the Mexican breakfast, the Cinnamon roll (best I ever had!) and the Spanish Omelet. Great coffee, best orange juice I had in a while, fresh fruits & vegetables and amazing thick cut bacon. Need I say more?

The worst breakfast ever! We went this morning and ordered 2 Jesus’ Chilaquiles with red sauce, it literally tasted like chile guajillo, no other flavor, not even salt/pepper. The rice was old, I’m sure it had been reheated at least twice. The chocolate chip pancakes had just chocolate chips as topping not even inside. There’s nothing less disappointing than wasting your money on horrible food. Definitely not going back.

Very good chilaqulas. The food is always delicious. The service is not very good. We asked to substitute fries with hash browns and was told no. They should have more flexibility even if they charge for it. Don’t go for the service. Get it to go!
