Been to Roy’s many times when the old owners had it. Kinda the same…the half portion dinner is portion size of middle school lunch. The brisket was tender, ribs good – not much meat on them, pinto beans questionable, potato salad could’ve been more mustard or something, coleslaw was great and creamy. Those waffle fries are EXPENSIVE at $7.25 smh. Crazy. Bring cash as they charge for using debit cards smh.

Bring cash and prepare to indulge. Over 47 years in business. Very friendly staff. Busy lunch joint. Great homemade style food and dessert. Old style restaurant, canned sodas, real sweet tea.

Be careful when paying. The prices on their menus are incorrect. They even charge for the pickles and onions! Our bill was approximately $10.00 more than what it stated it would be according to the menu. Wow!

I had a 2 meat dinner, ribs nd brisket with a side of beans plus I had the waffle fries. All was good, the brisket was well seasoned but sliced to thin for my taste I like thick slices with some bark on them. The pork ribs are good. The beans are ok. The waffle fries are good nd you better have at least 2 people to finish the order of fries.

This is a long time running BBQ joint which I never tried when I went to USAO for school. Happy to have tried it today. Unfortunately they were out of the chicken so I had sliced pork with tasty sweet coleslaw. Do not skip the waffle potato fries!

Good food. The “sandwich” is two pieces of white sandwich bread and your meat of choice. But it was tasty. It’s an old place with list of history. The waitress really tried to get us to order the waffle fries, but we didn’t. After seeing an order at another table we regretted our decision. I’ll get them next time for sure!

I mean it was good but I mostly got gristle and no meat. For a two meat dinner and the price it was very little meat overall. The potato salad and cole slaw was good but I’m a little disappointed cause I was told I needed to try this place and I must say it didn’t live up to the hype.

Great staff and delicious food. Simple selection of great BBQ, only thing is, remember to bring cash. They have an ATM just in case you forget.
