Came here for date night and was not disappointed! The food was AMAZING! Genuinely the best hummus I’ve ever had!
We got the grilled cheese special and the Rock Dove special- WOW! The potato was a bit too heavy on the onion for me, but everything was great!
Our server was also incredibly helpful and answered all of our questions! She also gave us her opinions which I always appreciate. Can’t wait to go back!

I sat at the bar and I happened to be Trivia Night so it was super busy. However, the bartender was very nice and the food was really good. I’ve never had a pulled pork sandwich (Carolina Wren) like theirs and I loved it. My friend had the burger (American Kestrel). Highly recommend both and will be back for the Monday trivia night now that I know.

This place pleasantly surprised me. I didn’t expect such quality food from a typical shopping center sandwich shop. Traveling across the US often, I eat at sandwich shops nationwide, and this one ranks in my top two favorites. They offer a variety of unique sandwiches and excellent salads, along with a great beer selection. The staff is very friendly, and I will definitely return.

Went in on a Saturday evening for dinner with a group of 6. Was able to be seated quickly out on the patio at a high table. Service was good, and drinks were good. Food was a okay not fabulous. I thought it was cute that all the sandwiches are named after birds, we ordered the California quail. The wedge cut fries were really good and much better than expected, nice and crispy on the outside but soft inside. Not soggy which is good. The sandwiches were good but not fabulous. We ordered the slaw as the side on the sandwich and it wasn’t good. It had red bell peppers in it (not the on menu and not good) we sent back the slaw and switched it out for potato salad in the end and it was good, again not fabulous. It was a good spot for a group as people could choose what they wanted and it worked out well.

Red Bird is more than a sandwich company it’s an entire experience. Their unique sandwiches, sides, homemade sauces, and drinks are all incredible. We have tried numerous sandwiches and loved them all. We have tried multiple sides and like the potato salad a lot, but we cannot break free of those wedge fries. Out of this world food. I will say it would be very easy to split a sandwich and sides because the sandwiches are plenty big. The drink specials are always a treat. The Oriole and the Owl are two faves.

Went shortly after lunchtime on a Saturday, restaurant was still very busy but the wait was not long. Service was quick and friendly and the establishment was clean and had a nice atmosphere. The menu has a good variety to choose from and they also have specials that aren’t listed. Smoked artichoke dip was delicious, we asked for extra bread but didn’t really need it in the end. The butternut squash curry soup was very tasty, just needed to cool off a little before eating as it was very hot. The American Kestrel with fries and the California Quail with side salad were enjoyed. The turkey sandwich kids meal was much bigger than expected and the turkey was very good. I had the Oriole and my only complaint is that the bacon was too crunchy, like hurt my teeth to chew it and it was distracting; The flavor was good though. Beware of upgrading your sides as it will drive up the price but it was all very good and worth it. Will eat here again and recommend to others.

What a great little restaurant! So enjoyed lunch here. Everything on the menu looked yummy- such creative and unique items. We had the chicken salad sandwich and the Bobwhite sandwich— both delicious! The potato wedge fries are great. Service was good also.

First time customer but long time viewer of delicious looking social media posts. Finally was able to make my way here. Everything was really good. Enjoyed the atmosphere and service was top notch. Probably a good thing for me I dont live close by as I would have a hard time staying away from the daily/weekly specials. Definitely will return again!

7/3/2025: Been eyeing Red Bird on social media for a while and had the opportunity to stop by for an early dinner and drinks. They have a wonderful patio that I’ll be back to enjoy. At 4pm on a Wednesday, three or four tables of guests were enjoying happy hour drink specials. The drink menu is full of all your favorites and more. The French 75 was light, crisp and refreshing. I love a good Mule, and it was everything you’d expect in a mule. Onto the appetizers, the smoked artichoke dip with pork. What an interesting and delicious combo! We ate it so fast I didn’t get a photo. I could have had 10 pounds of that focaccia bread. We enjoyed the Magpie (chicken salad) and Great Blue Heron (massive fried chicken breast in garlic buffalo sauce) with potato salad. We salivated over every bite. Get yourself to Red Bird. I know I’ll be back soon.

I went to Red Bird today for the first time for my friend’s birthday lunch and I am happy to say this will be the first of many. The setting was nice and intimate. I could see myself coming to this place between meetings or having a place to work off-site. The customer service was excellent. From the hostess at the door, to our waiter. He made great suggestions on drinks and food. I cannot recall the full name of the sandwich, but it had duck in the title! The bread was soft, the meat was tender and seasoned! I look forward to going back and trying more!
