So full disclosure: we came in on a rainy Sunday during peak brunch hour. The outdoor patio was rained out and unavailable for seating.

We set our reservation for 12 but because of the patio being closed and tables being full we weren’t sat for 25 or so minutes. Once we finally got seated, Bernard took our full order immediately and the waiting games began. That’s going to be my only complaint about the restaurant because, unlike some other people who may have reviewed today, my girlfriend and I are understanding of the extraneous circumstances the restaurant was going against. All of the staff were trying their absolute hardest to make every guest feel welcomed and all of them were trying to keep the best attitude given the circumstance. The owner (presumably) went out of her way to make sure everything was going in a positive direction with all the high-stress action going on. Once we finally received our food, it was great!! Everything came out fresh and hot, and it was delicious! I would recommend for anyone to come and enjoy the vibe and the food! Maybe on a sunny, drier day, but I applaud all of the staff here for trying their hardest to make the experience a good one!

(I started eating my food before I took my first picture ignore that lol)

We came for breakfast! We probably would have given 5 stars but it was cold inside the restaurant. Next time we will select a table in the covered patio under a heater! We enjoyed our food. My husband left trying to figure out when we could come back! I had the breakfast tostada and he had the waffle. I also tried the rose water lemonade. An 18% service charge is added to your check regardless of the party size. There is only street parking. The navigation may send you to the parking lot of the apartment complex that sits on top of the restaurant. In the evening they do have Valet Parking.

Came here on a Thursday night to celebrate an early birthday. The restaurant can be hard to miss since it’s located amongst homes and an apt building, but it is located right on the corner of the street. If you can find any, there is street parking or valet for $20 I believe (they accept cash or zelle).

Upon arriving, we were greeted and seated right away, although there seemed to be a bit of training still going on. Our reservation was at 6:45 pm and it wasn’t very crowded inside. After being seated on the inside, we opted to sit outside on the patio since the weather was nice.

They have a nice but limited menu if you’re looking for something more extensive, it may not be the place for you. My party and I ordered 2 drinks 1 appetizer, 1 salad, and 1 entree.

The drinks were good but not great we could barely taste the alcohol and for almost $20 I expected a bit more from them. (2/5)

Goat Cheese Beet Salad (5/5) We loved this
Tuna Tartare (4/5) could have more flavorful
Steak au Poivre (3/5) was on the saltier side and had a few fatty pieces, but the fries were nice crispy and the sauce was good.

The service was great and the food came out pretty quickly but all in all i don’t think the price matched the quality of the food items. Plus they add an automatic 18% gratuity to the check for 1 or more person in the party which can be off-putting for some.

I’ve been able to get 2 drinks, 2 apps, 2 seafood entrees and 2 desserts (which Tal’s only had one dessert that night) at a few restaurants in Malibu for about what we paid here so I just think they Tal’s has room for improvement seeing as they’ve only been open since October of last year.

Nicolas was such a great waiter. Made our experience so great. The tacos were amazing and very filling. The drinks are delicious and strong. They will definitely sneak up on you. The ambiance was nice. It was a slower night so it was very chill and the music was great to listen too as we ate. I would definitely come back here.

It was an amazing experience starting with the valet, very kind and professional, even went back to get my jacket because I was cold and left it in the backseat. The atmosphere is top notch, feels like it’s a high end restaurant in Beverly Hills. Tal the owner is an absolute gem, she even hold the front down ushering her guests into the experience of dining in her fabulous restaurant. Our server Amado was Amazing too! Made great recommendations, the food was BOMB!! My favorite waffle I’ve literally EVER had!! I highly recommend checking this place out, it’s worth the drive from wherever you are!

Overpriced and not worth it. This is one of those LA places that is more for show than substance. Came here for brunch and was extremely disappointed by everything but the atmosphere. $18 drinks that don’t even fill the glass; they offer five flavors of mimosas, but only had two; and French toast “nuggets” that was just French toast cut up in a bowl.

This place is fairly new and has been around only since October, but it really needs to step it up if it wants to maintain its integrity. As a local guide, I would not recommend this place for brunch because the price does not match the quality. Very disappointing experience.

The food (sliders and then the short ribs over mashed potatoes) was amazing. The beef just melts in your mouth. Jaime is awesome. He had answers to all the questions we had about the food and was a great host. The atmosphere is chill R&B. We’ll be back for sure.
