At La Casa Latina, we’re a family owned business! Owned & run by Anai & Luis Siri, residents of Catskill for two decades.. in 2012 this family wanted to bring a taste of their Mexican & Dominican heritage to the town they call home. After decades of experience working in kitchens & the restaurant industry, it led the couple to open their kitchen & home to share Latin cuisine.

I CANNOT believe how amazing this flaky, thin, delicious crust on the chicken empanadas!! I mean you can SEE how full of delicious shredded chicken all inside and BARELY contained with that crust. Just so you, the readers can understand how great these chicken empanadas are…I’m an avid traveler and a serious foodie. I will put money on these chicken empanadas to beat ANY other place that sells empanadas. These are something special. The beef empanadas are good, BUT the chicken?? That’s just a different realm of delicious.
Helpful advice: if you do a food truck this summer. Chicken empanadas and your various tacos is all you’ll need to be successful on the road

Authentic Mexican food in a relaxed cozy setting. Good service. Chorizo nachos were excellent. The michelada was seasoned perfectly and the tamarind Margarita was poppin’. Trust me.

But I’m giving it four stars cause it was a little mild. I understand selling to the masses but I like a little more heat in my Mexican food.
Burrito was huge, with a nice mix of vegetables rice and beans. Perhaps a little light on the beef and I did start on a side that was mostly rice. Still very good.
Very cutely decorated place, definitely met my craving for Mexican food as we are stopped in this cool town taking down our mast on our sailboat before transiting the Erie Canal on Dragon’s Lair a Catalina 470.

We were able to walk in and got a seat. The restaurant was fairly small but not crowded. It had a nice warm atmosphere. This would be a great place to get a margarita and sit outside when it warms up.

Wonderful food and friendly service! Popped in for salsa. Friend saw I was in Catskill and msg’ed me asking if I could pick some up. I did and stayed for lunch on their patio. Had the fish taco and it was delish. And I could see why my friend wanted the salsa. It was great! Also, they packed it with ice since my trip home was 2+ hours.
