Let me say, the food was good.

However, this may have been the worst service I’ve experienced. I was solo because I’m in town for work.

My food was brought out by someone who wasn’t my server, no problem, that’s not abnormal at all. What is abnormal is that it was 40 minutes before my server said a word to me.

In that 40 minutes my drink emptied and it was 7 minutes 38 seconds before my server came and filled it up. When doing so, he said nothing to me but spoke to a table next to me and walked off. In that 40 minutes two tables were cleared off, another table was sat, and a TV channel was changed.

What I wanted was to order a beer when my food came out. What I needed the entire time was napkins and utensils. I wasn’t about to wipe wing sauce on my clothes. The only napkin I had was the one placed under my drink.

Quite disappointing considering the food I did eat was excellent. I’m sure the server is good and probably just had a bad moment. When he finally asked me how I was doing, I was honest and told him everything I mentioned above. He apologized and said he thought I was just eating my food. I’m not trying to beat him up but I let him know, he’s gotta check in with people. Can’t make assumptions.

I have to give a review about my personal experience and this is it.

As far as the setting, it’s a cozy little place and I think it’s great to see the toys they are collecting for kids who aren’t so fortunate at Christmas time.

Everything was so good! The waitress we had was wonderful! Very attentive and helpful. The table got the jalapeno poppers and they were so good we ordered 2 baskets! For dinner my sister got a grouper sandwich and I got the blackened salmon, broccoli, and the Cesar salad. We both got lemon drops, but I got mine with grenadine. Literally no complaints about anything. Everything was delicious and came out fast.

We come here every week because the food is great and the trivia is a lot of fun. Unfortunately, our experience is consistently ruined by the same issue: the hostess always gives us a hard time.

She never seems able to find a table for us, even when guests who arrive after us are seated right away. Every week there’s a new excuse, and her attitude toward us is consistently rude — eye-rolling, dismissive, and making us feel unwelcome.

It’s honestly pathetic to be treated this way, especially considering that we are Veterans, active-duty military, and law-enforcement customers who simply want to enjoy a night out like everyone else.

There was even one night where we waited for more than an hour without being seated, and the manager, Rich, had to step in and do her job. As soon as we spoke with him, he quickly found us a table without any issue — proving the problem isn’t availability, but attitude.

We don’t appreciate being made to feel unwanted, and we don’t understand why a restaurant would treat loyal customers like this. Management really needs to address this behavior, because the food and trivia are great — but the hostess’ attitude keeps ruining the experience.

Annie the bartender was so gladly to help me the drink that she offered was great. The atmosphere is fine they are very friendly when I first walked in. I thought that they was gonna be like judging because the color of my skin and the atmosphere, but that was not it. A older gentleman sitting next to me asked me could he sit and I said yes, we had a great conversation. We was talking about the game and how he started off being a Being a maintenance man And he say I’m gonna love it there so I think this might be my new home

We’ve been to Laseter’s Tavern many times over the years because the wings are great, the pool tables are fun, and the servers have usually been solid. That’s the only reason this review isn’t years old. But after what happened on Thursday, 02/26/2026, we left before ordering and will never return.

The problem is Rosie (the hostess – I believe that was her name). I can’t be certain since even the manager wouldn’t give out her name. If you’ve had a bad first impression walking into Laseter’s, there’s a good chance you’ve met her.

From the moment we walked in, Rosie greeted us with the same attitude we’ve experienced before—dismissive, rude, and acting like we were inconveniencing her by showing up. No hello, no “how many,” no communication. She simply led us to a tiny round two-top next to the bar without saying a word.

We politely asked if we could sit at a four-top instead. The restaurant was not crowded, it was pouring rain, and there were plenty of open tables throughout the entire place. We also explained we planned to order drinks, appetizers, and two wing entrees, and that the small round two-tops are so cramped you can barely fit two plates and drinks—let alone appetizers.

Rosie’s response? Cold and condescending: we had three choices—and she literally pointed at three separate bar-side two-tops and said we could sit “here, there, or there.” I asked again and explained again and she pointed to three options again. A third time this happened. That was it. No attempt to help. No basic hospitality. Just a power trip.

When we asked again (still calmly), she repeated the exact same thing. Then she claimed there’s a “policy” that only parties of 3+ can sit at a four-top. Funny, because the open section of the restaurant already had a two-person party sitting there at a four-top and plenty of empty tables around them. So either that policy isn’t real, or it’s enforced selectively—either way, it was handled in the most hostile way possible.

Eventually she “allowed” us to sit in the open section, but still placed us at a small square two-top. At that point, the damage was already done. And then she made it worse: she made eye contact with me and threw her head back laughing. When my fiancé turned around, she made eye contact with him and gave another exaggerated laugh—like she was trying to provoke a reaction. It was bizarre and completely unprofessional.

We told our server what happened. He shrugged it off and gave us a blank look—no apology, no “let me get a manager,” nothing. That’s when we decided to leave. And yes, after a confrontation like that, we weren’t exactly excited to eat food coming out of a kitchen where the hostess clearly had it out for us.

We went to Taco Mac, were treated with respect, and had a great evening—exactly what we expected when we originally chose Laseters for a quick, casual night out.

Laseters: you lost loyal customers over one person’s consistent attitude and a total lack of professionalism at the front door. Rosie should not be the first point of contact for paying customers if this is how she treats people. If management cares at all, they need to address it—because if she behaves like this with regulars, I can’t imagine how many first-timers you’ve lost. I will never recommend Laseters and will make sure to voice where we go and how rudely we were treated.

Old style dark sports bar. Good service. Typical pub food with a good selection of drinks. Plenty of parking. Great place to hang out after spending a few hours on one of the nearby Palisades trails.

Been coming here for two years, playing trivia for over a year. Never had a problem till the nasty attitude short Hispanic hostess up front started not liking my group and purposely not seating us. Telling us our whole party had to be here and then seating other half parties. Telling us there is no room, while not making out tables and leaving us to stand for an hour. I’d say mean things about intelligence and adding, but that’s not nice. Had to go to the owner to resolve issues because the tall Hispanic manager is rude too and refused to address the issue. Won’t be spending another dime here due to the nasty little hostess up front. So many people have issues with her and the tall Hispanic manager. Use to recommend this place to anyone, now will go out of my way to make sure no one knows goes here again and talk my friends out of it as well. No more pool, no more drinks. My measly $60 tickets may not be deal breaker, but couple that with groups over a period of time, I hope this venue misses out on thousands of revenue. I know it’ll be thousands from myself.

Lassiters Tavern is a great spot for trivia. Questions are not too easy but also not absurdly difficult. Along with the great trivia, they have jumbo wings that are actually jumbo and flavorful. Having tried multiple flavors, I recommend the chipotle bbq. It is delicious and they do not skimp on the sauce. Although if you are looking for some spice, I would recommend their hot flavor. It is not the spicest but just enough and a great taste.

Have enjoyed eating dinner at Laseter’s a few times since earlier this year. Food, prices, ambience, and service are all very good and budget friendly. Easy going place to enjoy a meal and conversation. Plenty of sports television to watch and thankfully not on high volume. Recent visit last Friday Keeva helped our table. What a delight she is. Will ensure the next time we dine at Laseter’s to ask for her. She smiled, laughed with us, and made us feel so welcome. Hard to find this type of service in Atlanta. A return trip sooner thank later. Thank you Keeva.
