Was layed over for a few days in Rolla, The Best Western motel highly recommend the Sirloin Stockade.
As a driver & Home Chef that travels and that sees many restaurants and buffets.
I am so glad they did. The food was freash with plentiful options.
The whole establishment was clean and comfortable.
The staff was as friendly as can be, very welcoming as if you are at home.
As for the price, I don’t think you can beat it, you would pay as much for a single plat sitdown anywhere else and here you get choices and the amount you wish.
Will be stopping back when through Rolla in the future.

My husband and I got 2 gift cards for a free meal for Christmas this year to eat here. We live a long way from here so superbowl Sunday was the only time we could get there. Two servers came up to the counter after we had been standing there for longer than we wanted and ignored us and walked off. Finally after a few more minutes, she came back and said they couldn’t serve us tonight because it was to slow. Mind you there were at least 30 people in there. All we wanted was a salad. The salad bar was full but we were turned away. They could of let us at least fix a salad or took it to go. A waste of time after driving over an hour to get there. Coltons had less people and they were happy for us to come in. Probably won’t be back to sirloin. Do better.

Server, Summer was very good, attentive and friendly. I ordered Cowboy Ribeye steak and it was good. The booth i sat in may be original booth seating from 1975 as it was broken seating not very comfortable and moved around a lot. Other than the minor seating issue I would still recommend especially if you like buffet style restaurant.

At first the price for the buffet seemed high, but once I found out what all it included… oh my. It is worth it. Ribs, porkchops, fried catfish, salmon, shrimp cocktail, meatloaf, fried chicken, cheesy potatoes, mashed potatoes, corn on the cob, green beans, glazed carrots, taco bar, pasta bar with several noodle and sauce options along with a very tidy and fresh salad bar.
My steak was cooked perfectly and the chicken fried chicken was 2 chicken breasts. in addition to this they have a bakery bat including soft serve vanilla ice cream with a handful of toppings.
if you are visiting Rolla, check it out.

Went there last night and all of the food was obviously quite old. Ate some anyways cause I paid for it and now I have horrible food poisoning or something. I would not recommend this place to anyone and I will never be going back.

It had been quite some time since I had eaten at this restaurant. It has been remodeled after they had a fire. I’m happy to say that their standard of quality remains as Good as it ever was. The buffet is almost intimidating in the variety of foods that are offered. It is really tough to make a decision of what to put on your plate as you go roaming around all of the selections. Basically everything I have tried has always been quite good. There is one exception to that and that is the macaroni and cheese. It’s no worse than the macaroni and cheese you’ll find at other places but it is unbelievably bland and (in my opinion) certainly not of the quality of the rest of their items. My favorite food in the buffet is their fried chicken. There are chicken places that don’t do it as well. The staff is always extra friendly and helpful. Needless to say the restaurant is very clean and well-stocked. It’s a perfect place to go when you ask people what they would like to eat and you get four different answers.

Had wanted to try this place for a while. Not impressed. They do have a good variety of items, but quality is hit or miss. Salad bar and nachos were decent; toasted rav was burnt and cold; pasta was watery and the sauce was cold and flavorless.
Service was non existent. Saw waitress once when she asked if I wanted a baked potato, and then never again. Drink was never refilled.
It was $26 for 1 person to eat here after drink and tip. Absolutely NOT worth it. Won’t be going back.

Food is great. It’s a buffet that has everything. People just let their kids run up and grab stuff, which of course leads to foods being mixed, spilled etc. But the quality of the food is excellent. Selection is outstanding! Could use a bigger bathroom. Definitely stopping back whenever we drive through Missouri.

I have not been to sirloin stockade in years. Finally came back to the area and had to stop in! However, this was not the sirloin stockade I remember. What a huge disappointment! I can’t even say this food is mediocre, because it falls even below that. Everything is boxed, bland, and some hot items even cold. I watched one server continue wiping her nose with her hands to then touch on people’s drinks and so forth. Another continued to play on her hair and touch everything. While service wasn’t an issue, the lack of hygiene sure was.
Whoever orders their food/products either needs to retire and/or be replaced…because their pallet is toast! Probably much like the crowd it mostly serves. Terrible food!
