We’ve been here three times now, and every visit has been consistently amazing—especially with the family. This place nails the balance between classic, cozy, and memorable.

Food (all 10/10):
• Steak froté – cooked perfectly, rich flavor, classic execution
• Fish & chips – crispy batter, tender fish, exactly how it should be
• Salmon – flavorful, flaky, and well-seasoned
• Burger – juicy, satisfying, and done right

Every dish came out hot, well-presented, and clearly made with care. No weak links on the table.

Atmosphere:
The WWII aviation theme is timeless and immersive without feeling gimmicky. Watching planes taxi outside while you eat adds a unique touch you won’t find anywhere else in Atlanta. It’s relaxed, comfortable, and perfect for families, date nights, or bringing out-of-town guests.

Service:
Friendly, attentive, and professional every time we’ve visited—no rushing, no attitude, just solid hospitality.

Final verdict:
A true Atlanta classic that delivers every single time. If you’re near PDK or looking for a restaurant that feels special without being pretentious, this is it. We’ll definitely be back again.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5/5)

57th Fighter Group is always a great experience. The food is always delicious and it’s always an intimate and quiet atmosphere.
(The one slight change I noticed on this visit was they have changed their French Fries. Before their french fries were almost identical to and even better than the Varsity’s hand cut french fries. Now they are just regular french fries but they are good.)
As I said before, The 57th Fighter Group is always good whether it’s lunch or dinner. The value is incredible for what you get. It’s just a few more dollars than say Longhorn or Houston’s but it’s next level in quality and taste.
The atmosphere of the restaurant is one of a kind and the views of Peachtree Dekalb Airport are quite enjoyable. On the weekends the bar and it’s Dance Floor are always entertaining and a good time.
In my opinion it’s one of the best restaurants in Atlanta.

I had heard of this restaurant by word of mouth and after putting it off for some time, I decided to see for myself and had lunch here a few months ago. As soon as I drove into the parking lot, I was surprised by the quaint army guard house and the realistic fiberglass model of a P-51 mustang right by the entrance. The interior of the restaurant was amazing being decorated with WW2 memorabilia and speeches by British PM Winston Churchill playing in the restroom. I ended up sitting outside where I could observe airplanes taking off and landing from the nearby DeKalb-Peachtree airport. I ordered a 57th sandwich with beer cheese soup on the side based on popularity. Both turned out delicious. I was quite impressed with the atmosphere and food at this restaurant. Would definitely come back in the future.

Stepping into 57th Fighter Group Restaurant felt like a mini escape: there’s this cozy, inviting dining room vibe, sprinkled with a touch of history. The walls have vintage photos and memorabilia, and there’s a kind of warm, slightly old-school charm that makes you slow down as soon as you walk in.

One of the wildest perks: you can sit by large windows and actually watch private planes and small jets taxiing or landing at the nearby runway. It gives the place — and the dinner — this nice sense of backdrop energy, almost like you’re dining on the edge of something bigger.

We began with a warm beer-cheese soup and a crab-artichoke dip. They were simple but satisfying — a good way to ease into the meal. For mains, we went for a hand-cut steak and a salmon soufflé. Nothing overly fancy, but solid, filling, and honest. Portions were generous, so you don’t leave hungry, and there’s even a chance of leftovers if you’re not super hungry.

Service was friendly. On a busy night, things moved a bit slow, but no one was rude or rushed; the overall calm and casual vibe made up for slower pacing. Combined with the soft lighting, the little fireplaces, and the occasional hum of planes outside, it felt perfect for a laid-back dinner or a relaxed date night.

If you’re in the mood for food with character — not high-end, but hearty and comfortable — especially if you like a touch of aviation or nostalgia to go with your meal, 57th Fighter Group Restaurant hits the spot. I’d go back without a second thought.

We always enjoy our visits. The 57th fighter never fails to impress us. Shawn was an excellent server and very attentive but not intrusive. Thanks for a wonderful evening out.

Memorable Sunday brunch with extended family. The planes kept everyone fascinated. Memorabilia was worthy of a history class field trip. Our service was on point. Attentive and friendly. The buffet had enough for our carnivores and vegetarians. No one was disappointed.

A great place for a fabulous evening with your date. The vibrant music and the dance floor is what makes your day. Pretty decent crowd and foot thumping music will drag you to the dance floor. A real small menu to choose from and some drinks to make your evening special. Do not forget to wear your dance props just shake your …. and have a fun-taste-tic evening.

I cannot say enough great things about this place. It is such a unique venue, the food was spectacular, the service exceptional, watching the planes landing and enjoying our little gang of friends was the icing on the cake. I can’t wait to do it again soon.

Went today with my sister. The pineapple nojito was really good. We had the buffalo dip for the appetizer and for entrees: the steak fritas and catfish. Pretty delicious! Service was fast & efficient. The manager stopped by briefly to speak to us when he had a break from helping wait tables. Will come back again! Also you get a pretty good view of the planes coming in & taking off.
