Service and atmosphere:
The staff were friendly and helpful. Fairly attentive as well. Unfortunately, some staff members were speaking too low so we couldn’t hear them saying what meats were being delivered. This could have been due to loud music played too.
The restaurant was organised. The plastic plates that they served food on were way too used and had brown marks/imprints from being used so much.
Food and drinks:
Good selection on the menu but the quality in my opinion wasn’t there. The thinly sliced meats looked dried up. Other meats were okay. All sides to accompany the meats were on the sweet side (including kimchi).
Pricing:
$$/$ depends on the type of meat cuts you opt for.

Not an error review. 2nd time back. 1st time amazing. Came again tonight around 9:30pm for my bday tonight, and was not greeted by the front “hostess”, a short female of Spanish descent. She takes us to our table, and takes us to a dirty table, I understand it’s busy. I’ve been a server, and manager at several restaurants. I ask her nicely could someone clean the table, I guess I didn’t hear her respond, so I asked nicely again. She proceeds to give me the rudest meanest death stare side eye for a good 3 seconds before RUDELY responding, “I’m doing it”. Ok, point taken, understood. Could have smiled and nicely it in a different way. I understand it’s late and I’m sorry for not hearing you, but she needs retraining on just smiling & responding professionally. That’s all. I still had a good bday.

I’ve been to this place multiple times, and I’ve always been impressed by their food. They offer a wide variety of meats at reasonable prices, and I’ve always had a great time there. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a fun and delicious meal.

The food is good for the price, and they offer three all-you-can-eat menu options. I recommend the standard menu since it’s very complete, but if you’re willing to spend a bit more, I highly recommend the premium menu to try high-quality meat.
Our waiter, Bryant, provided the best customer service I’ve had in a long time, I definitely recommend him. The only “downside” is that the seating is a bit tight at the tables, but other than that, it’s a restaurant I strongly recommend for enjoying plenty of delicious food.

Sean was a great server, he handled our table so well. We were very satisfied with the food, although during the service a got hit with a pen cap. But overall good fun.

An excellent selection of meats for the all you can eat I got the premium buffet and everything was delicious. The service is excellent and they never let you run out of food during your time so come hungry and eat a lot.

Atmosphere is always a plus! Food is top notch! Our server was very professional and gave us the ultimate experience. Only thing I would recommend, don’t sit near the kitchen. With all the smoke from cooking your meats & the smoke coming from the kitchen it was brutally hot. Still had a great time!!

I hope there food is better then there service came to pickup a doordash order the host guy with curly hair was at the front my Doordash order was right behind him ready. I told him the name for the doordash he told me it will be 5min didn’t even check the bag behind him 5min goes by another guy came told me it will be 2min then finally the chef told the guy that order has already been made so the guy looks at the bag behind him and gives it to me… So I wasted 10min waiting on a order that has been sitting there for probably at least 5min when I got there…. So something that was ready took 10min to give to me because the front person is not responsible…. Like I said hope there food is better then service.

Came here many times still love it and brought my daughter for her bday. Only thing I didn’t like is it was dinner for all day and it cost more all different pay of course you pay less for lunch so come in early before the time change .

This place gets packed. Service is good, but was too packed because of Valentine’s day weekend. I have been to the Gen in Carrolton and Arlington. They do not compare to this location. I would visit the Carrolton and Arlington locations more if they were as good as the midtown Houston location.
The meats here are perfectly cut. The new menu items are ok. I mainly come for the beef belly and la galbi. Everything else is trendy, but interesting. Get the pineapple and veggies to cut the grease. My main gripe is no to go cups. I do not know what issues they had to make this rule. Also they ran out of specialty meats because of Valentines day. Still the best Gen in Texas and probably the world. We love our meats in Texas.
