Went here last summer on vacation and haven’t stopped thinking about it since. Awful Arthur’s was the best raw bar I tried in the Outer Banks. Super fresh oysters, great service, and very reasonable prices. Can’t wait to go back this summer!

My family has been eating here since the 90s. I have eaten here my whole life. We always stop here when we are in obx. It is an institution. Great seafood. Highly recommend sitting at the bar to watch them steam and shuck. Also, go to the gift shop and get a shirt 🙂

Short wait until we got seated and were greeted promptly by our server. Couldn’t decide between a crab cake and a burger so got the crab cake burger and it was very good!! She got a shrimp salad sandwich that she loved!! Definitely plan on coming back on future trips back down here!!

We had oysters and clams. Both were very good. I do not eat clams because they are usually gritty. These were not at all! I even ordered a 2nd round. Most of the menu is fried which I was hoping for more of a fresh option but for what we went for, oysters, they were great!

We went here on a holiday weekend and the wait time was 2 hours, but we were able to go to an upstairs area and have some cocktails with a view of the water while we waited. The food was incredible, service was a little slow but it was incredibly busy and I assume it’s not always like that. Would definitely recommend!

Awful Arthur ‘s was an absolutely fantastic dinner for our family. The food tastes great, I highly recommend the clams casino and clam strips. They made a really good crab cake as well. We were all very pleased and want to go back again before we head home. Must stop.

Our family came here our last night of our vacation. The bartender upstairs in the bar area was great. Our waitress was great. The place was beautifully decorated. Unfortunately the food was disappointing. All seven of us were not impressed. The hush puppies were way over done. Our meals were greasy and tasteless.

Really cool environment, excellent quality seafood, large portions for the cost. Wait staff were very attentive and friendly. 2 big bar areas and plenty of table seating. Offered a nice list of daily specials and drinks. Will visit on future vacations!

I had grilled grouper for dinner and it was fantastic. The cooking was perfect, the taste was amazing, and the fish was incredibly fresh. The staff were also very friendly, so I highly recommend trying it if you’re in the Outer Banks.
