As much as I enjoy having a Starbucks close to home, training is still needed. I ordered a Venti Honey Citrus Mint Tea. The barista handed it me extremely hot through the drive thru window. I should not have to tell the barista the beverage is hot, to provide me a sleeve and a topper. As much as I pay for my beverages, I should not tell you how to ensure the beverage is delivered to me. I will continue going out my way until this location is properly trained. Anddddd when I ask for my pastry to be warmed, warm it.

I give it a month before this one is closed like the last one. Line and wait are so long it’s quicker to drive to Arlington and get it. And before you say they’re new. Maybe let’s train employees up to par before the grand opening. Not train them after opening ruining the reputation on the place.

I ordered a grande, vanilla bean creme frappe. This is my Starbucks drink of choice no matter the weather, so I know it well. The drink I received from the Oakland location had almost no vanilla in it! I think I saw some vanilla bean seeds in the milk at the bottom of the cup, but I couldn’t taste any. Usually you can see the vanilla bean seeds clearly throughout the drink, but then again, the ingredients are usually mixed together well, and can be remixed with the straw if needed. The milk in this frappe remained in the bottom of the cup, with plain crushed ice on top, even after I tried to mix it with a spoon. Obviously, it was very bland. I ended up throwing it away.
I understand that mistakes can happen, but the way this drink was made seemed more like the barista either did not know how to make the drink, or did not take the time to do it right. The store was not busy. Starbuck’s charges a premium price for their drinks. They should ensure a premium product.
This was my second order at the Oakland Starbucks. The first order was not as good as other Starbuck’s I have visited, but I chalked that up to this store recently opening. I have waited a few weeks to give the people at this new store time to find their way. However, Starbucks should have done a better job training before they opened the store. As excited as I was for Starbucks to return to Oakland, I will not continue spending money at this location.

The phone number listed on their website and Google does Not work! You get an error message no matter how you dial it. Also, it is not a local number.

I am beyond grateful and and excited to have a Starbucks back in Oakland! But our Starbucks has got to get faster at getting the food out… When you place an order online and drive from your house, you’re expecting it to be ready when you get there, especially when the app estimates that it will only take five minutes for it to be made. My app said that my drink should have been ready at 7:07 AM. I received it at 7:14 AM. If I didn’t have a job to get to that wouldn’t be a big deal, but it was Starbucks people come A certain speed of service. When I pulled up to get my drink in store, the drive-through line was so long it was wrapped around the building.

The boy with the dangly blue earrings is extremely rude. No greeting, clearly doesn’t want to be there. I bought several gift cards and he flicked them across the counter at me one by one. He then angrily pulled the envelopes out of a box and did the same thing. I had to stop them from falling on the floor.
I tried to give them another chance and asked multiple times for a grande but they kept ringing up a venti, I just gave up. Then I get home and the frap is not blended at all, huge chunks of ice getting stuck in the straw and the drink tastes like powder. I threw it away. We won’t be back.

Late afternoon had taste for a Caramel macchiatto and haven’t tried new Oakland TN store. I was the only one in line with an order. I paid I tipped (regretted) move to wait location. My warm coffee WATER with whip cream came with a call of my name, Zero eye contact and the warm coffee WATER plopped on counter. Wanting to return it or at least go get the undeserved tip, left disappointed only to the great satisfaction I will never return.
