Now let’s get to the food.
The falafel was incredible. You know this recipe is a family tradition. We are vegetarians so we ordered the vegetarian salad with pita bread and an entire spread of humus, grape leaves and a side of rice.
Everything was fresh and delicious. We will definitely be back and this time we will surely dine in.
Thank you Eyd and Samit. Please forgive me if I misspelled your beautiful names.
Shukran.
My girlfriend and I wanted to try Mosaeic under new management, and we were pleasantly surprised. They rebranded as a more relaxed, casual dining experienced, and we set our expectations accordingly.
Dynamite Combo: very delicious and filling. Everything had the correct texture and spice level. However, for the price, they’re facing a lot of competition as there are better kebabs in the area for a similar price.
Whole fish: this was the best part of our experience. The fish was juicy and tender on the inside, while skin was crispy. The reason this Middle Eastern restaurant stands out from the rest of the hundreds of Middle Eastern restaurants in the area is that it serves fish, which we could not find at other establishments.
Service: really kind and nice staff. We could tell the cook had a lot of enthusiasm and did everything with a smile. Something I personally love to see.
Employees were very friendly and helpful and professional
The food took forever, and when it finally showed up, it was cold, soggy, and tasted like it had been sitting out for hours. The hummus was bland, the shawarma was dry, and the rice had this weird, mushy texture. Honestly, I’ve had better food from gas stations.
To make things worse, the portions were tiny for the price, and the presentation looked like someone just threw everything onto the plate from across the room. I left hungry AND annoyed.
Save your money and your stomach—try literally any other restaurant.
This is a low-key restaurant and initially it seemed pricey, but considering the amount of food we got, it seemed more like a bargain by the end. We paid about $33 for the two entrees, including a tip.
This is a blend of table service and counter serve. We ordered at the counter and were handed our drinks (water), and then were served lentil soup, then baklava, and then our main meal with pita bread on the side.
The biggest downside, at least for me, was their choice to use styrofoam and disposables for the drinks and appetizers. It almost felt like this place could be date-worthy: they have dressed up the restaurant to have a nice vibe, with soft music playing in the background, but any semblance of elegance went out the window when our lentil soup appeared in a styrofoam bowl with a plastic spoon. I care more about the environmental consequences than the elegance, but regardless, that’s where the half-star reduction comes from.
Everything else was stellar. The people are super nice and every food item was excellent, perhaps with the exception of a few pieces of my chicken which were a bit overcooked (it was a kabob, so it was understandable and not a problem). Even small touches like the garlic sauce were excellent.
A word about the menu: “kabob” refers to a kabob with ground meat, whereas “tikka” refers to a kabob with cubes of meat. The “tikka kabob” comes with one of each. I chose the chicken tikka, and my wife got the shawarma combo. We will be back!
The food was very good with a reasonable price for the area. I did get the beef and chicken Tikka. The meat was well seasoned and cooked to perfection.
It came with hummus, rice and salad. All was very good.
They gave me a small lentil soup which was good too. The owner gave me a small desert at the end, but also got the cheese kunefe.
I enjoyed my experience and will definitely come back if I in that area again.
