Salty’s provided such a great dining experience! We went for dinner on a cooler night and sat on the first floor- the restaurant is open air to the front, but the weather is a non-issue, because of their heaters throughout. There was live music that was very enjoyable (and I’m usually not a live music gal, but this guy was crushing it!). We were one of the closest tables to the music and could still have regular conversation without feeling the atmosphere was too loud. We ordered the brussels sprouts as an appetizer- phenomenal. I ordered the blackened grouper sandwich as an entire, and my husband ordered a special halibut entree- both were out of this world- fresh, seasoned well, excellent! Our server was extremely friendly and tentative and the trainee she had with her you would’ve thought was already working there for years. All staff during our experience were friendly and accommodating.

Hannah was a great server, very friendly and attentive! The food is off the chain (very very good).I had the Fish-n-Chips with coleslaw and a side of coconut rice. You get two big Haddock filets, fat seasoned french guess and tropical coleslaw (has pineapple in it). Everything was so good!! My only complaint is that I wanted one of their blue hoodies and that was a bit too pricey for me at $50, otherwise this place is perfection!

Great food and friendly service. Grouper po boy and shrimp tacos were good as well as kids’ dishes. Pina colada was tasty. Nice open air atmosphere. Would go back.

We found this place on a reel so wanted to try it out on our trip. What sold us was The toasted pina colada. Unfortunately it was just okay. Nothing spectacular. Really lacked flavor. I had the grouper tacos which unfortunately the grouper tasted like dirt. There was a group of 10 of us so there was plenty of other food I could try and eat. The Cajun pasta was delicious. The ladies that had crab legs all said they were good. The steak also lacked flavor. The coconut rice was also really good. But the place was a vibe. The music was loud. Our waitress was wonderful. We would probably try it again

Nice food but inconsistent service led to an average review
Food – grouper was tasty and fresh as you would expect. Crab cakes were full of meat and well cooked. Calamari (appetiser) was the best dish – really tender and the 2 sauces worked well together. Kids meals of grilled fish only came with one side (they picked fries obviously) but would have been good if it came with some vegetables as well. Portion size was ok, both adults mains bulked out with a ton of broccoli. Kids had more fries than the adults.
Service – FoH welcoming. We didn’t have a reservation (Saturday night at 730) so expected a wait. The advised 20 mins was more like 5 minutes, which was a pleasant surprise. We sat upstairs at the back which was ok. Our server was disinterested. Drinks order was taken quickly but no real welcome, no menus recommendations. I ordered the grouper and shrimp but the shrimp was missed off the order (although rectified after the meals delivered). Had to wait a while for the drinks refill and check too. Think they were short staffed upstairs, but could have tried harder. The table next to us (different server) seemed to get a more effective service.
Atmosphere- singer downstairs which was a nice touch. Place had a nice buzz, not too loud. Kids welcome.

Then we went back and took our friends and we all loved it.

Wife and I come to Clearwater 3-4 times a year, but this was the first time visiting Salty’s. If you’ve never been here, you’re missing out on some awesome food and entertainment. Just had the Grouper Nuggets and the Avacado Eggrolls and man they were great! And our server, I believe her name was Hannah, was so attentive and personable. Can’t wait to go back and try some other items I need the menu.

As I promise we’ll do breakfast here and rated, breakfast was good but not great , pancakes are not the best, tacos are amazing. Definitely recommended, overall I will do dinner here, but I may try a different place for breakfast, service just OK. , definitely need to renovate the upstairs area
