My husband picked up dinner for us tonight from Seoul Food here in Wahiawa. We’ve never had a bad meal from here. The portions are as great as the food- I usually give half my plate to my husband because it’s so much. I love the Kalbi plate- super flavorful,tasty and saucy with all white rice. My husband tried something different tonight, the Chicken Katsu plate- crispy, juicy and tender which he said was pretty good. Check out this tasty hole in the wall spot if you haven’t yet. Aloha

Lot of Ono food for the price. It’s more than enough for 3 meals. Meat jun is tasty and soft. Fish Jun is tasty. Got the fish jun without rice and they loaded up the banchan. Friendly service and also met owner June who is so nice. She told me they’re using a 50 year old Dong Yang meat jun recipe. No wonder it’s at the top tier of my meat jun go to places.

Strictly take out there are a few tables that are outside the window but probably best to just take out. The food was incredibly delicious. Brings back memories of the old Dong Yang inn which had been a mainstay on my eatery list since 1976 or so. Only wish they served that awesome, welcome bowl of soup that accompanied every meal back then. A simple broth soup with shredded white chicken, fried egg ribbons and green onions, one of the reasons that they were the best back then hands down. The bachan is still tasty as well, kim chee is on the fresher side, well seasoned along with the other sides that are served with their plate lunch. Solid meat and zucchini Jun, also fat bone Kalbi, off the charts onolicious. Thank you Seoul Food for bringing back the old Wahiawa town best korean food restaurant. If only they sold the soup too lol. One can always hope for it right.

I don’t know what happened, but the meat jun was terrible. It’s all mostly stringy meat. Egg wash wasn’t fluffy. The taste was over saturated. I’ll give them one more chance but, this was really bad. Might be a while before i go back though. Really bad experience.

The people are so nice. The young girl at the counter helped me choose the best plate- meat jun and kalbi ribs. I can’t believe she works here every weekend. Can’t beat a family restaurant!! Coming back to try the spicy pork.

I love their food here, usually I order plate combos of meat Jun & Kalbi & the flavors are amazing all the time. So, I ordered a small party pan of meat Jun, took it home and it tasted different to my family & I, sort of a strong weird taste. We didn’t eat the pan & was able to bring it back. The staff was very understanding & gave a whole refund, not 50% the whole thing was refunded back.

Sweet n spicy Korean fried chicken is bomb. Call in for take out is ideal. If you ordering close to their closing just order a whole chicken portion otherwise you gonna piss off the aunty frying them in the back. Make it worth her while y’know?
