But hey, everything is kinda expensive these days due to inflation and other economic factors, so that’s not a huge issue per se.
Our issue was both the fries and the burgers were way too salty, which made it hard to fully enjoy the meal.
The quality of the ingredients seemed decent, and the service was friendly, but considering the price point, I expected a better balance in flavor and overall value.
It’s not a bad spot, but for that kind of money, there are other places I’d consider first.
This is the 2nd location for Hayes and they fit right in.
Had the Double Cheeseburger without onions and it was very tasty.
They also make their own spicy ketchup which paired well with my cheeseburger.
Prices aren’t cheap though as this Double Cheese was $14.80 for just the burger.
Would try again, but high prices will make it hard to visit too often.
You either need to provide bigger portions or cut the pricing.
How about a discount for locals or a lunch special?
I got the Hayes Burger and it was fine. Clean and simple. Cooked well and the ingredients were fresh. Also a side of their dressed up fries. It was also fine. The pickle (relish) used was a little more than I would want but it is their twist on things.
The star of the meal was the spicy ketchup. The staff told me they were considering bottling it for individual sale. I will 100% buy it when available.
50min wait for what essentially is an overpriced in-n-out burger. I can almost overlook the wait since I guess it was their first day, but damn near 40 bucks for two burgers and a large fries?
The burgers again are decent, but nothing to write home about. The “large” fries barely filled the basket, I wonder what the small looks like. They were cold to boot as well. I’m just gonna say it, when you know you got guests waiting what I hope is an abnormally long amount of time, being stingy on fries is certainly a choice.
So yeah. Even if the fries were hot, crispy and generous, and even if there was zero wait, at the end of the day the burger is good but not good enough to justify 15 bucks in my opinion. Best of luck to y’all, but it ain’t what I’m looking for, not at that price.
