We have been wanting to try El Limon and we finally did … The food was amazing… They serve complimentary margaritas that were the perfect blend of margarita … I’m not sure all the food we had but here it goes nachos tortilla soup a beef specialty taco and a chicken specialty baked fajita along with their hibiscus juice … We will definitely be back to try more entrees

Great barbacoa enchiladas with mole. I was pleasantly surprised as a Californian who travels to Mexico often. Maybe the east coast is catching up on Mexican food. Also complimentary margarita doesn’t hurt either! Reasonably priced and generous portions. Parking is around the corner on evergreen ave. Patio is accessible and you go past the gate on the left hand side.

This small eatery is located on Germantown Avenue in Chestnut Hill. The food was very good here. My friend ordered a beef tongue quesadilla which he really liked and he is hard to please. I had 2 Empanadas one beef one vegetable. Both were good but I liked the veggie one a little better. My friend had Mexican soda for the first time and enjoyed the refreshing taste. I had unsweetened ice tea and a water. The service is just grab a table that you wish. There was a little confusion with this for us because their was no one in sight when we walked in and of course it was our first visit. Food is very good so I will return

Had the enchiladas with barbacoa and mole and my partner had the alambres. Sooooo tasty!! Every bite was on point and the staff were super kind. It’s a sit down spot but the food comes out super fast. I’d say it’s more of a chill meetup than a date vibe. We were in and out in 45 minutes. They’re BYOB so I’m making a note of that for next time. They also have great hours. One of few spots these days with solid late night food.

I placed an order through their website site and was very happy that there was no wait to pick up my order.
I ordered the shrimp tacos which came with rice and beans and then a separate order of beef tacos with a small size of rice and beans. The side of rice and beans were truly disappointing. It came in two sizes (side and large).
The side was a very small size (reminiscent of a small ramekin that you would use for dipping sauces) in comparison to what I have seen at other Mexican restaurants. My partner was disappointed but he made do with what he was given.
We both enjoyed the tacos but perhaps we will give the larger sides a try next time.

The food is not good, for the price, it is very expensive.
The customer service leaves a lot to be desired.
I ordered my order well, the guy who attended me, misunderstood me and made a mistake with the order. I kindly told him about the error, when it was resolved, he reluctantly gave me the missing order. So, I really think they should improve both their customer service and food or they should definitely close the place. I have seen so many negative comments about this business and I totally agree.

I went to have dinner and use my gift card after a stressful day flying. I wanted tacos. I went to order and was told they couldn’t process my gift card. These gift card’s aren’t transferable, they are locked to each location where you bought it. I don’t come to chestnut hill for dinner very often. This was going to be the best ending to my vacation and was ruined by el limon. It’s not my fault your POS system wasn’t functioning right. It’s your tender, I can’t use it anywhere else and I can’t even use it at your store, where my mom purchased it for me for Christmas.
