The Best Burger Barn definitely deserves to be called the Best Burger Barn. We all really enjoyed our experience here. I had the Big Tex, an old fashioned open faced chili burger. I really enjoyed the burger and I would get it again. Mrs. Flip Out had the Fat Lady burger and it was a great bacon cheeseburger on Texas toast. Little Flip Out enjoyed his burger. The fries were excellent and the tots were good, too. There was a nice patio area in the back and the entire restaurant was spacious. Service was friendly and accommodating. Definitely worth the stop!

Spending the night in Gainesville texas. Wanted to hit up a local burger place tonight. Found this on the internet decided to give it a try. No crowd. Large menu with plenty of choices. Waitress / general manager very nice and accommodating. Chili cheese burger and fries was what I had tonight. Came out fairly quickly. The burger was really really good. The fries tasted like they were undercooked. She took them in the back and put them on a little longer. Didn’t make too much of a difference. Probably the oil needs to be chained. I would definitely eat there again and try something different. Certainly recommend you stopping in and giving it a try. Support local businesses.

A bunch of us decided to hit this place up, I am not a huge burger fan but the menu sounded decent so here we are. The menu is pretty big with something for everyone. We ordered the Texas pretzel with beer cheese, let’s just say it’s over a foot in diameter and the cheese sauce is killer. A definite must get to really appreciate it.
We also had the fried pickles, fried okra and fried green tomatoes which were all really good, of course I favor the okra over the rest.
On to the entrees, we ordered two of the Uncle Cheezee’s, a Fatman with a skirt, a Fat lady and a Hamburger. Had to throw in a basket of fry’s and tots. A chicken strip basket finished off the food.
On to the appetizers:
Texas Pretzel n’ Cheese. 9/10
Our famous hand made huge pretzel, fresh baked to order with our Shiner Bock cheese
Fried Okra. 8/10
Hand cut okra tossed in our house made beer batter, deep fried hot and fresh to you
Fried Green Basket. 7/10

If you are looking for fine dining with cloth napkins, this place is not for you. However, if you want a decent local place with local flair and pretty decent food, come here! I didn’t think it was possible to combine “burger barn” and a Hawaiian theme, but somehow they’ve done it.

Friendly local joint. Friendly folks. Ydida, our server super ! Great burger! Real meat not frozen. Will be back. Asked for fried jalopenos and those were great too.
Suggestion: Try doing a quick second fry on the French fries to get them crisp. Temps have to be just right though. Great that they are fresh made and not frozen!

Texas Cheesesteak, fries, fried pickle and the “Fat Lady” Burger. Service was friendly coming in and all throughout. Great food! Period. Wow, we just pulled in on spontaneously. Glad we did!!! Thank yall and God Bless! Keep up the great work!!

What a great surprise this new Burger Barn is to Gainesville. Prices were reasonable. Frys were delicious, but sadly too few. My date and I split an order of 4 Armadillo balls. Chicken jalapeño wrapped in bacon. $4.39 each I believe. My burger was thick and medium rare. Beer selection is kinda thin but I am sure to find a beer I like. Wait staff was attentive and educated in the menu. The cook thanked us when we left. We liked that. Look forward to eating here more often.

My first time to Burger barn I ordered the chicken fried steak salad. I was underwhelmed with the size of it and the steak was burnt. I also asked for no onions which my salad has. The person who rang up my TO GO order made a point to discuss how much she made in tips this morning which is unprofessional. There was no plastic ware or napkins in my bag. They also gave me the wrong order and ran outside to switch out the orders. Not confident that they remade the burger I touched for the other customer. (I opened it to see what was in the bag) not a fantastic first visit not sure that I’ll return.
