Another great experience. The service and atmosphere is absolutely top-notch here. The food I was a little less impressed with, although still well seasoned. The positives: The flavor of most dishes were good. Especially the chicken. The peach jam & butter for the biscuits is a nice touch. The negatives: Chicken tinders were scrawny and the biscuits were dry. I’m torn about the gravy with the chicken breast because it wasn’t what I was expecting. I visualized a brown gravy, but the white gravy presented tasted like breakfast gravy that should be over biscuits.
Overall, it’s a good restaurant to try for a first time or for a repeat visit.

Stopped in here a few weeks back as part of an appetizer/bar crawl I was doing with my friends. I have been for lunch and it is fantastic. I was surprised to see they have an old fashion flight. It was decently priced for 4 different drinks, but definitely fun to try multiple things without having to get full sized ones. It was fairly slow and quiet when I went, which is a great change from lunch when this place is packed. We had great seating and was nice to relax and have a few drinks, apps, and talk with friends.

How have I not heard of this place before? They knocked it out the park in every category. The chicken was both crispy and juicy. The flavor of the greens is straight from the south. Don’t judge me for the well done steak! That was somebody else. (SMH) I was surprised about how good the potatoes were. I gotta have those again. Service, waitress, menu, kitchen, and restrooms were all top tier. I’ll definitely be back to try something new in the menu.

The restaurant is set up very nice and comfy on the inside. When we arrived around noon on a Sunday we were a bit surprised to be quoted 45min-1hour wait when there were plenty of empty tables . I assume they were understaffed and didn’t have enough waiters to attend to the restaurant at full capacity. After being seated we did receive prompt service. The food was good, but my wife did not like the mac and cheese. She had it replaced with a side of crispy Brussel sprouts. The biscuits are good i suggest pay the extra dollar so you can try both jams as it only comes with one otherwise. The greens just tasted of salt and pork, not the best but serviceable.

I held my birthday dinner here and was impressed with the place. This was my first time dining here so I was taking a risk hosting a large birthday dinner. All of my guests were impressed with their food. I had the honey sriracha chicken with collards and mac. The chicken was very flavorful and had a good level of sweet and spice. The sides had plenty of flavor as well, especially the collards. I’ll be returning to try the rest of the menu for sure.

First time trying this place. The restaurant was nice and the hostess. Our waiter was ok forgot our water after we ordered them and just wasn’t very attentive. The food was great. The flavor was good. I got the smothered chicken, mac/cheese, and collards. I recommend. Definitely will go back .

This place has friendly service and good food. (Really recommend the sweet and spicy chicken waffles. ) but the service I found lacking not because of my server but because they were under staffed and she couldn’t get to me for the basics. Sweet lady though.

Get it how You live
This restaurant is a familiar taste if you are used to good wholesome country food. Do you know how hard it is to find good sweet tea once you pass the va line? The average place sells iced tea and will tell you to add sweetener after it’s served. Everyone knows the sweetener goes in while brewing, and the tea is still hot. For those people thinking the first glass may be good but the others won’t. You are dead wrong, I had three glasses of sweet tea they were all good. If you are like me and you love biscuits and chicken, you must give this place a try.
