Great place for a hearty meal.
Excellent service, friendly people.
The food came out fresh and hot.
The salad was crisp.
Everything is clean and presented well.
Parking is little peculiar, though there are spaces in front and back. Assisted mobility friendly, though if your in a wheelchair, you’ll need help getting inside.
Prices are decent.
There is plenty of seating, nicely spaced.
The atmosphere is cozy.
I didn’t leave hungry.

Hand breaded chicken Fried Steak, hand breaded onion rings, great meal!
After a week has passed, I feel that I must add to this review. I’ve been thinking about that chicken Fried Steak all week and wish I lived closer.
I’ve eaten chicken Fried Steak my entire life all across the state. Eaten at Jake & Dorothys in Stephenville, Mary’s in Strawn, Lambert in Missouri and a myriad of other places. This place ranks right up there with the best places in the state. Definitely a top 5 chicken Fried Steak. Make sure you get the hand breaded onion rings as well!
The hamburger steak with brown gravy and a ton of mushrooms is no slouch either.
Off the beaten path, but if you close, definitely worth a stop.
I’d give them 6 stars if possible.

I was pleasantly surprised at how good this little cafe is. The burger is one of the best I’ve had…ever! It was the spicy one, but it’s really not spicy just very flavorful. We were passing through town headed to a football game with students in another town. When it was time to pay, we had an issue with the tax exempt status. The staff were very friendly and worked hard to try to get it right. I would 100% come back! Oh and the prices are very reasonable. Thank you for not charging ridiculous prices for drinks!

Love love the food. They are easy going staff friendly and accommodating. Kids can play on an old school arcade game for free while we wait. I love this place! If they are busy and it is taking a while for the food it’s worth the wait! Bob cat bites are my absolute favorite!!!

I have no idea how I’ve missed this place. Such good food and great, friendly service. The hamburger steak was perfect and the onion rings were amazing. The fresh salad bar was great as well. Definitely recommend this little place and will be stopping by when I’m passing through Seymour.

Had the mushroom burger which I had the mayo added. They add brown gravy. The bread was done a certain way which is good and was a very good burger. It has pictures of the old trails for cows. Next door to a small hotel
