I used to live in Chicago and have had some of the best deep dish pizza ever. Since moving back to Ann Arbor, I discovered that Anthony’s has way better expertise in the fine art of deep dish. Go Large or Go Home! Love you, Theo!!

In for the big game, staying at an air bnb. After reading reviews, wanted to try this local spot. I called to confirm that they would deliver all the way out to Whitmore Lakes, but it was worth the extra delivery charge. Very happy with the all american chicago pie with black olives. Salads were fresh and crisp. NY style is for the kids and more of a flat crispy crust. Go deep and won’t be disappointed.

11/29/25: Went in there as prolific pizza reviewer Dave Portnoy of Barstool Sports had just reviewed the place the day prior, and first thing I said when I got service at the counter was something along the lines of “I just wanna get what Dave Portnoy got when he came in here the other day… a slice of the regular cheese deep dish, and then just a regular normal cheese whole pizza”. You would think that despite the deservingly low score he gave them, that they would have somewhat of a knowledge of such a prolific visitor that had just come in the day before. But it appears not. Was a ghost town in there too, clear that Dave’s buzz did nothing to attract customers. I paid what I thought was a ridiculous amount as I once again for the 3rd or 4th time confirmed and repeated my order back to the girl, and I paid. I waited over half an hour. I received my slice of the deep dish that I wanted, but then also a whole deep dish pie, which I did not order, I never ordered. Somehow the girl just cannot listen and comprehend. So I immediately went back up to the counter and waited in line patiently and calmly explained that the order was wrong. The young girl began to attempt to argue with me that I had said what I had not said multiple times. When she just clearly has a listening problem. She then puts through my regular cheese pie and it comes out a few minutes later. I did get the refund of the difference in cash at least. And got to keep the wrong pie that I got. But this is why he gave you a 6.4. Everybody knows the rules. Pay attention. The regular cheese was dire btw. Reminded me of what I got in my middle school cafeteria. Just not a good place and not good service at all

Order: small “The All American – Chicago Style Stuffed” pizza. Hearty deep dish pizza with good flavoring over all. The pizza was the winner of the business. The rest of the experience was adequate.

45 minute wait for pick-up and was on time. Location was tucked in a plaza and not easily seen from the road.

Once and a while treat due to the price ($30 for this small pizza)

Interior, unwelcoming which included all but one staff member. Did not seem the employees enjoyed their job and the dining room was blah.

We had an awesome Chicago style dip dish pizza. We placed a medium size order. It was a no meat pizza. It had lot of olives, pineapples, peppers, jalapenos, onions and awesome amount of cheese. The size of pizza was more than enough for four of us adults. Each slice was like humangous. We ordered online and took a takeout. They let you order ahead. And the staffs were wearing masks while handing out orders.

One of the few places left in town, where they remember your name and your order. Pizza is amazing. We always get the Chicago stuffed. Get a pizza blessed by Theo at least once in your life,

Strip mall gourmet pizza. Individual slices to go. Chicago deep dish is awesome. One slice is a meal for most folks. Not cheap, but worth it. Premade salads to go as well. Take home or eat outside in the he picnic tables nearby.

The Chicago Style Deep Dish was wonderful. The crust was light, the sauce had great flavor and the cheese pulled perfectly on each slice. Highly recommend.

There’s a debate on whether Anthony’s pizza is worth it’s price. My opinion is that it’s DEFINITELY worth it. A medium All American deep dish pie can feed a family of 3 with left over slices for 2 the next day. That’s $30 for dinner and a lunch snack the next day. If you go out to dinner, you could pay that if not more. The pizza is always delicious. I love the sauce!! They do curbside which is wonderful.
