Our experience at Shiangmi Chinese Fine Dining was great! We had a number of delicious dishes and great service. Our waitress went above and beyond to help us celebrate a birthday.

The duck was the main star. Crispy skin, tender duck, rolled in a flat pancake with onions, cucumbers and a savory sauce that resembled hoisin sauce. We also had cabbage stuffed with minced meat. Pork and peppers, green beans and egg plant and the best fried rice I’ve ever had.

All in all, this is not a budget friendly meal. You can get food of the same quality for a quarter of the price. This place is perfect for a special occasion or if you are in the tax bracket where you can afford it regularly.

We came back to celebrate the Lunar New Year. This time we ordered more variety of food. The quality is still very tasty and flavorful, but the service was not as good as before. Maybe the server is somewhat new. Also, we ordered the peking duck for $78 with 2 course meal. The duck was not the best that we have tried. We didn’t like the super thin wraps that are so sticky. Also, we were surprised that it didn’t come with the sour carrot and radish condiment to put inside the wraps. A bit disappointed. Don’t think we will order this again. The other entrées were very good. Hope they can improve their peking duck especially at that premium price.

2025 – The food was very good with good service. First time here and was quite surprised how good the food was. I’m also surprised that this restaurant hasn’t received a lot of attention. It should. The atmosphere was also quiet and enticing. Overall, we would definitely come back. Prices, however, were a bit expensive.

We were excited to try this place on Christmas; we spent Thanksgiving at Hong Hua last year and it was fantastic.. knowing these are similar restaurants with high ratings we were looking forward to it! I absolutely love lobster and I was excited that they have so many variations of lobster available on the menu.

The manager at the front door was friendly as we entered giving us the thumbs up that our table was ready/available.

The server was fine, not very knowledgeable or perhaps there was a language barrier as far as describing the menu, although this was not a big deal to us.

We ordered appetizers immediately as we waited about 10 minutes before we were even greeted by our server, we also ordered cocktails. (Their cocktail list was interesting and impressive) We discussed the market price of the lobster, $57/lb and they only had 2lb lobsters available , this is completely understandable as that is the market price. I was looking forward to my lobster either way, it was Christmas.

As we waited for our appetizers I finished my water and then my cocktail, our server never stopped back at the table as we waited for our appetizers, we were a good 35 minutes in at this point. I went to the bar to order myself another cocktail and asked if someone could come around with a water pitcher. I had already finished my husband’s water as well. The bartender was quick to action to find out what was going on with our appetizers etc., mind you the server hasn’t even taken our entree order yet.

By the time we got our first of 3 appetizers it had been like 40 minutes, the second came a few minutes later and the third like 15 minutes later… by this time we decided to not even stay for entrees. It was getting a little ridiculous. The bartender apologized again and told us that they had a lot of delivery and takeout orders. Sadly, I don’t understand how this became our problem.

In the future maybe they should decide on one or the other rather than try to accommodate both on the Christmas holiday. It’s fine for the people at home who are comfortably waiting for the delivery of their food but it’s not fair to the in person guests. They also could have paused the door dash/online orders now and then to give the kitchen a break. (The dining room may have been half full by the time we left, we got there at 3pm, it was not busy inside the restaurant)

Overall it might not have been so terrible had the server even stopped by to refill our waters or to ask if we would like to order our entrees prior to the delivery of the appetizers.

I was really excited to try this place out because outside of PF Chang’s there really are not any upscale options for Chinese food. This place has great atmosphere and wonderful staff but the food is expensive and taste wise is not too different from many fast food Chinese restaurants. In the attached image you will see an order of shrimp fried rice upper left , BBQ pork belly to the upper right, and Mongolian chicken. I also ordered a glass of wine came. My bill came to $74. Entrees do not include rice.

I made a reservation through the restaurant’s website for December 25, 2025 at 1:00 PM because they advertised being open on Christmas. We arrived at 1:06 PM and were told my reservation was not on their list.

There was a clearly posted sign at the entrance advertising a lunch special for four from 11:30 AM to 4:00 PM. We were seated anyway. After being seated, we waited over 20 minutes before a server acknowledged our table and took our order. At that point, we ordered the lunch special along with a duck combo.

After the order was placed, the server returned to tell us the owner decided they were no longer honoring the lunch special, despite it still being advertised. We were told we were the first table denied the promotion. We then reordered the same dishes à la carte and lost multiple items.

We were also informed by the manager that we had a strict time limit to dine, even though this is not an all-you-can-eat restaurant.

Food service was disorganized. These dishes are meant to be served family-style, yet plates arrived one at a time with 10–15 minute gaps. One course was missing and had to be requested. It arrived last.

The food itself was decent, but nothing special. For the prices being charged, the overall experience was very poor, and this restaurant should not advertise itself as “fine dining” if it cannot provide continuous, coordinated service.

Service overall was slow and inconsistent. Drink service was minimal, and a beer arrived already poured, not full, with no bottle or can.

Based on this experience, the ownership does not appear customer-centric. Canceling advertised specials after orders are placed and rushing guests suggests a focus on saving a dollar or two rather than delivering a quality experience.

Between a missing reservation, refusal to honor a clearly advertised promotion, imposed time limits, long waits for service, and disorganized execution, this restaurant fails to meet reasonable expectations.

Safe to say, we will not return.

I ordered the chicken and broccoli via Uber Eats. I requested it be mild. The fact that it was so spicy it was inedible is only half my concern with my experience. The broccoli was overcooked and the sauce was undesirable. I was also not happy with the amount of chicken. I’ve added a photo. The red pieces are some type of hot pepper that was prevalent throughout the dish.

Food was really good but comparable to other Chinese family style restaurants. Soup was not good at all but pepper steak, noodle dish, and eggplant green bean were really good. We had the dumplings as well which were good and tried the stirfry. All food is served family style.but for the price i would just go to my local family style asian restaurant, prices are cheaper and food quality is about the same. Not really fine dinning, our water was empty often and wasn’t the service or atmosphere you would expect from a real fine dinning restaurant. Would not go back solely for the face they claim fine dinning and it wasn’t a fine dinning experience. The table next to us never received one of their orders and it ruined their night which is accurate based on service we received well howeverour food came out quickly and we were not missing anything. The Food was delicious besides the soup, so not bad for a good family style meal.

ShiangMi Chinese Restaurant continues to impress us every single time. The consistency and authenticity here are truly special. Each visit somehow exceeds our expectations, even after coming back multiple times.

The service deserves special recognition. Our server was outstanding: attentive, warm, and genuinely caring, which elevated the entire experience.

The food was phenomenal. The poached Basa catfish was delicate, buttery, and beautifully well-flavored—executed with a level of finesse you don’t find often. And the spring rolls? Quite honestly, the best spring rolls known to man. Perfectly crisp, flavorful, and unforgettable.

Just amazing all around. This place never disappoints and remains one of those rare gems you can rely on for exceptional food and service every single visit.
