If you’re craving Indian food but can’t decide on just one, check out the Mint rooms buffet!
The buffet offers a variety of vegetarian and meat options and caters to just about anyone and everyone ! I also love that this location offers a carafe of water so you don’t bae to flag down wait staff every time. My favorite was the mushroom in spicy sauce and the biryani chicken. As always the gulab was so tasty! Sweet and light!
The restaurant offers both bar seating and table tops including some more options for larger parties so ideal for all. They also have a parking lot so no need to worry about it.

I wanted to love this place because the flavors are actually quite good, but the overall experience was incredibly frustrating.
The Service : We tried to be proactive by ordering our food before even arriving at the restaurant. Despite this, the food was not ready when we sat down. We waited for 50 minutes, during which time not a single staff member came to check on us or provide an update.
When the food finally started arriving, it came out in “stages”—only one dish arrived initially, while the rest of the order lagged behind. To make matters worse, our server was completely indifferent. They never bothered to check in on our table and ignored or gave non-answers to our questions regarding the delay.
The Food: The kitchen is clearly capable, which makes the service issues even more disappointing:
The Good: The Paneer and Chicken Curry were both delicious and well-seasoned. The Naan was also fresh and hit the mark.
The Bad: The Chicken Biryani was a total disaster. It lacked the traditional depth and texture you’d expect and was the low point of the meal.
Final Verdict: If you don’t mind waiting nearly an hour for disjointed service and an unresponsive staff, the curries are worth a try. However, between the biryani letdown and the lack of basic hospitality, I likely won’t be returning.

The food and beverages are delicious, and you certainly won’t leave hungry—the portion sizes are pretty decent. The staff is also friendlly. Just keep in mind that the restaurant is on the smaller side, so seating can be limited during peak hours. Worth the visit!

Very nice restaurant. The service was great, the food was delicious and came out quickly and the staff was very kind and attentive. I got some lamb vindaloo (level 8 spice) that was spicy but not overpowering and had ton of flavor. The lamb was tender and delicious. I paired that with some Malai Naan (naan bread stuffed with cream cheese and jalapeño) and it was a perfect pairing! Also got Mint room special cold coffee which I would best describe as an Adult chocolate milk. Great experience and I will definitely be back.

The Mint Room in Bel Air is an absolute gem and easily home to one of the best Indian lunch buffets in Maryland. I have also been to their Hunt Valley location and both consistently deliver an outstanding experience.
I visited on a Saturday afternoon for their lunch buffet which runs from 11am to 3pm and left beyond satisfied. The restaurant itself is nicely decorated and conveniently located in a shopping plaza, making it easy to access with plenty of parking. Even though the buffet was decently packed when we arrived around noon, we were seated immediately.
The buffet spread is impressively expansive, with 15 plus dishes available at any given time. Everything is refreshed frequently, so the food is always hot and inviting. It is the kind of buffet where you can actually sample everything in one visit without feeling rushed or disappointed by empty trays. Highlights for me included the fish curry, goat curry, biryani chicken, and the tikka style mushrooms, which were addictive.
The spice level across the board leans mild to medium, making it approachable for all palates and appropriate for all ages, while still delivering plenty of flavor. It strikes a perfect balance between authenticity and accessibility.
Service was also excellent. Each table is greeted with a carafe of mint infused water, which is a thoughtful and refreshing touch that sets the tone right away. The staff was friendly and attentive throughout our meal.

Such a wonderful atmosphere! The flavor was so good, just a tad spicy for this non adventurous eater. A nice change of pace from the hustle and bustle. Will be coming back to try the lunch buffet! Definitely try the Lassi! A nice break from the heat!

Rizu was amazing waitress! I loved our food it was so delicious. Beautiful experience, I will be back! I had the butter chicken that came with the side of rice. I ordered a salad to have some vegetable with dinner. My friend had the indu chinese chili chicken. We had whole wheat roti as bread.

Alex was absolutely fantastic! He was very informative about the menu and gave us some ideas on what to try next time. We ordered Mango Lassi, which is hands down the best ever! Malai Naan and it came with two dipping sauces, delicious! Highly recomend the Lamb Briyani this is lower on the spice level and was agreat choice! Also the lamb shank, if your feeling non spicey but want something warm and comforting. As always the desserts are a 10/10. If you haven’t been here yet, stop on by!
