This was the 1st time I have ever ate at Captain Jays!! It was a very clean and friendly place to eat!! As soon as we walked in we were greeted by an amazing man who walked us through the menu. I ordered the #5 the 10 pieces of shrimp dinner with fries and coleslaw and dinner roll all FRESH for only $12.99! The shrimp was the best I have ever had and it melted in my mouth the fries were so perfect! And then the strawberry cake was so amazing it’s definitely a must try!! We didn’t wait to long at all for the delious meal and I ate it so fast because it was just one great bite after another. The chicken meal was also ordered for the same price and was just as amazing this special place I would recommend to everyone to enjoy! P.s. the offer affordable catering as well. Please do yourself a favor and go.

Tried the Westland location for the first time and was disappointed. The chicken tasted slightly burnt and greasy, and some pieces didn’t look fresh. I’ve never had this issue at the Taylor location, the flavor and appearance there are always spot-on. The staff here was very kind and the restaurant was clean, but the food just didn’t meet the usual Captain Jay’s standard.

The new staff working seem to be really there for just a check. No engagement and serving customers seemed not to be a high priority of theirs. I visited and the girl that night working had an attitude because she had to put her phone down and take care of me. I chose this location because its always clean but the attitude the staff had is dirty

Waited 15 minutes for a 2 fish combo. Got charged extra to swamp out the coleslaw for extra fries and didn’t receive the extra fries. THEN received FOOD POISONING that lasted a week!! You think they tried to give a solution or help out? No!! Highly do not recommend eating here

New Captain Jay’s location. Had the shrimp, chicken and the mac and cheese. The mac and cheese wasn’t very hot when I got it, but the noodles were al dente and had good flavor. The shrimp and chicken was very hot and good. The restaurant didn’t remove the bar from the previous restaurant, which made the layout a little strange, but it was clean. Quick service, the order only took about 8 to 10 minutes. I’ll try it again once they are a little more established to make sure they keep up the quality.

Wafic was the outstanding server he greeted me once I walked through the door and showed me nothing but respect and compassion towards me this young gentleman was the most respectful person I’ve ever seen or met he helped me read through the menu as it was my first time here he thoroughly broke through the menu for me and explained what everything was in such ease. Me and my family are definitely coming back.

I don’t know why I go here. The wings are so small and they’re so stingy with the lemon pepper even when you ask for extra. The fish was undercooked and slimy. I spent $65 on 20 wings and 19 pieces of catfish and it wasn’t even worth it.

Ordered a large okra and a 10 piece whole wings the okra was maybe a cup and the wings are so small I think wing dings are bigger I won’t come back to this location it’s not the first time so almost $20 for maybe $8 worth the food.

I ordered 30 wing ding with lemon pepper. The chicken was not covered with seasoning. The 4 pc catfish was not seasoned. I was not satisfied after the great reviews I heard from family.
