I accidentally stumbled into La Costeñita—best accident ever, lol!
The food is unique compared to other Mexican restaurants. The style is from Costa Chica, Guerrero, Mexico, to be exact. The dishes are very well-seasoned, hearty, and full of soul—you can truly taste the culture in it. It’s very authentic. The portions aren’t overly aggressive, but the flavor never disappoints.
I found myself visiting this place every Sunday for two months, just ordering random things to discover new flavors. Here, I found what I was missing in Mexican cuisine. It isn’t just tacos, tortas, or quesadillas; nope! Here, it’s more like your meat-and-potatoes place, with hearty, warm, soulful soups and fruit drinks that are almost like dessert.
The atmosphere isn’t the best; I just think it lacks in this area because it’s a small storefront with limited seating, and the crowds keep them busy, so you should get there early.
The customer service is polite and straightforward. They are bilingual and helpful. This place is for those who want more than just a taco, more than just horchata, and for those who have a big appetite for flavor.

This place has delicious food, from the posole verde, to picaditas, enchiladas verdes and mole verde with tamales tortilla (I don’t know what it’s called).
My friends and I were here for about an hour and the amount of business this place gets is insane. The door kept opening for new customers arriving almost every 4 minutes.
Jared the server was so friendly and he accommodated us so we can eat there as well as anyone that had questions and wanted a table.

Authentic Mexican food. I got the Birria de chivo tacos on handmade tortillas. Came for lunch on a Thursday and it was empty but it looks like it can get busy. Definitely has family breakfast on the weekend vibes. Tortillas were soft. Meat was good. Salsa was flavorful

Seen some pics on FB about this place so I decided to try it. Needless to say I was not disappointed by the food. This is true authentic mexican food from Guerrero NOT fast food, so be patient. The current reviews in my opinion aren’t reflective of the restaurant performance and food. I would definitely upgrade this to a 4.8 to 5⭐. The caldo de res with rojo caldo, enchiladas, and tacos are really good. We ate in my car so I got off to buy more.

Came here while visiting family in LA from the Miami area. very satisified with everything we had here at this place. I had the Pozole which was very very good. I have traveled in Mexico and this plate here has flavors which reminded me of my mexico travels. and the plate they give you to support the Pozole was incredible.

The food is good but the owner has a bad attitude. I only go for the food, but the service is average. Victor, the owner’s son, is friendlier.

Definitely never coming back to this place again. Visited this place with my family after hearing good things about it from some friends and their band. All food, service, and atmosphere was a 0/10. Going in the crowded place, it was a free for all- nobody even greeted and the whole place and was insanely dirty. Ordered some taquitos dorados and let me say that the chicken was not edible- it was as hard and dry as a rock, if not even worse! You can easily tell none of the food was fresh. Owners don’t care about their business with such exaggerated prices. None of my family was content after eating here and I even felt sick. Would never recommend this spot for anyone.

Several items we asked about were not available. The picaditas were just some tomato sauce and cheese. Flavorless. The taquitos were pretty good…… but this was $35 for a meal that had no reason whatsoever to charge more than say $20.
There are much better tasting, better values right up the street.
