(We tried some “blind picks” too — all delicious! Menu attached )

Ambiance:
The indoor space features warm wooden tones and soft metallic lighting — elegant, cozy, and perfect for date nights or girls’ gatherings.
The outdoor area is all white walls, lush greenery, and striped umbrellas — totally photo-worthy!
Whether it’s daytime or sunset, it gives off those relaxed Southeast Asian vacation vibes~
Recommended Dishes:
Goi Du Du (Papaya Salad with Prawns)
Crisp green papaya and juicy prawns with a tangy-spicy kick — bright, refreshing, and addictively good!
Sautéed Eggplant Mapo Pork
Soft, flavorful eggplant with a hint of Sichuan-style spice — aromatic and perfect with rice.
Short Rib
Incredibly tender and juicy with a slightly charred edge — the sauce is amazing, like a mix of Southeast Asian street flavor and fine dining elegance.
Black Rice
Topped generously with seafood — the rice is slightly sticky, nutty, and so fragrant. A healthier, more flavorful twist on white rice!
Milk Rolls
Soft, buttery, and slightly sweet — can’t believe bread could be this good! My son absolutely loved it.
Average: under $50 per person — great value, and the service was very attentive.
Summary:
✨ Bold, diverse flavors — slightly on the sweet side, but beautifully plated.
✨ Ambiance is a 10/10 — every corner is photo-ready!
We had such a wonderful girls’ dinner at Viamara, inside the beautiful Pendry Newport Beach. To make the evening extra special, we brought a stunning arrangement from J’adore Les Fleurs, which made our table feel even more chic and celebratory.
The menu featured the chef’s seasonal summer selection, and every dish felt so fresh and thoughtfully prepared. From the flavors to the presentation, it was a true culinary experience. The atmosphere was elegant yet welcoming, making it the perfect spot for a night out with friends.
✨ My Top 3 Favorites from the Dinner Menu:
1. Zucchini Bread – sweet, savory, and impossibly soft.
2. Tuna Crudo – fresh, vibrant, and perfectly balanced.
3. Flourless Chocolate Cake – rich, decadent, and unforgettable.
Since Viamara is part of The Elwood Club, it has only been open to the public for a limited time. I truly hope they keep it open for dining, because the ambiance is so beautiful and deserves to be enjoyed by more than just members.
Between the gorgeous setting, exceptional food, and the memories shared, Viamara truly delivers on every level. A must-visit if you have the chance.
We came for afternoon tea to celebrate a special occasion, and it was completely worth it. Our waiter, Joe, was incredibly sweet from start to finish. A manager named Michael also stopped by to check on us, which was a really nice touch. The service overall was impeccable, and we truly felt immersed in the charm of this lovely tea room.
The tea selections were fine, nothing particularly special, which I expected after reading other reviews. The food was beautifully presented and tasted good, though not outstanding. Still, the overall experience more than made up for it.
I can’t wait to come back for another special occasion, or even just for lunch. Definitely a five-star experience overall.
I did reach out to the Management team who took accountability and invited me back for the same experience which I declined. They eventually refunded me after I asked. I appreciate the gesture, though the original experience was disappointing.
The food was fantastic as well! On Julianna’s recommendation we tried the Calabrese Honey pizza and the chopped salad. Both were absolutely delicious. The tableside crème brûlée prepared by Kyo was another highlight. Not only was it excellent but when I asked about management because of my time in hospitality he spoke very highly of the leadership and team. It was clear the positive culture extends throughout the staff.
As someone who works in hospitality and tourism I was blown away by the attentiveness and genuine care from the staff. We chose to sit outside and when it got chilly the team quickly offered to bring a heater. While tracking one down they even returned with blankets to keep us comfortable in the meantime. This was a perfect example of anticipating guests’ needs and delivering exceptional service.
Overall this was one of the best hospitality experiences I have personally had. We will absolutely be back and cannot recommend Viamara enough!
I was sooo wrong! The staff were rude and indifferent ! The food came after 40 minutes of wait although the place was empty ( just 2 families there ). The water had a funky taste and smell , and the kids food was burnt ! Unfortunately it was my last experience there !
