A Ma Chicken Rice has been hyped up so I wanted to try it. I’ll be honest, it’s good but I would definitely eat there if you can. I would give it a 3/5 stars for take home and 5/5 stars if you eat if right after it’s prepared.

—The service was great and the atmosphere is nice but by the time I got home (about 20 minutes later) and we ate it, the crispy chicken wasn’t as crispy. It tasted good but not amazing. I’m sure this is much better if you eat it in the restaurant.

—The combo chicken, some poached some crispy, was good (3/5) at home but again I think it’d be great (5/5) in the restaurant.

—The rice is good. There’s chicken fat in the rice, which makes it different from a lot of rice dishes out there. If you like rice and like to try different foods, this is definitely a great thing to try.

—The “a ma dried noodles” (wheat noodles with sauce & crispy chicken) was my favorite I’d definitely get it again.

—The broths are good, too.

All in all, I’ll try it again if I’m in the area and I can sit down and eat.

Excellent Hainan style steamed chicken and rice.

The place is always popular. We went there Sunday evening and able to get a table without a line. We tried a few different dishes,. including rice noodle, their signature steamed Hainan chicken and fries chicken.

The Hainan chicken is really impressive. Extremely tender and juicy. Almost falling apart on the chopsticks. Rice is nicely flavored with chicken fat and juice. The portion is good. It’s an excellent comfort dish if you like chicken.

The fire version is also tender but not as impressive as steamed version. The noodle has a nice kick that builds up at the end. For those who prefer spicy food, this is a good choice.

A Ma has been hyped up and we saw the lines, so it’s been on our to do list for some time, and we finally made the time to try it out

We went with the signature, chicken and rice dish. We also went for the noodle soup.

All were worth ordering.

For the chicken and rice, we went for the combo because it let us try more menu items in a single order. Chicken was tender and juicy. The dipping sauces made for a flavorful bite. The rice was also flavored, if I were to guess it tasted like it was cooked with soup broth.

For the noodle soup, it’s kind of similar to pho, but the soup is seasoned differently, but still delicious nevertheless.

I recommend a visit, definitely with trying.

Had to wait for ~10m on a Sunday around 1, which feels rare for Redmond – a good sign.

Took a sip of my soup while waiting for everyone’s orders to come to the table, and dam was it delicious – deep umami chicken flavor that’s not too heavy, balanced well by the fresh scallions. Almost wanted to dig in immediately, and thankfully service was very fast.

It’s everything you could ask for for hainanese chicken rice – tender, poached chicken, that has a good, slightly bouncy texture, coupled with perfectly textured gelatinous skin – I’ve been to some places where they sous vide the chicken, but honestly that kind of makes the chicken mushy, which is not the case here.

Coupled with a big serving of fragrant chicken rice, and that delectable soup, I don’t remember the last time I was this excited staring at the plate of food in front of me.

Honestly, the crispy chicken as just as good as the poached – it’s not your typical breaded fried chicken with a thick crispy batter – this one had a lighter crunch, with the same perfectly cooked chicken underneath.

They give a variety of sauces, including the two pictured which is a good balance of sweet, sour and spicy, as well as the typical ginger scallion, as well as chilli crisp. Have to ask for the sweet soy sauce.

Overall, at $19 a plate (or 21$ if u get the combo), I can’t think of a more satisfying Sunday brunch spot. Next time I’ll make sure to get a Thai iced tea as well.

This was good chicken rice. The sauces were a great complement to the chicken. The crispy version was also good but I personally would skip it as I prefer the boiled. I was surprised that there was a wait when we got there at 1130a, and despite this being good I don’t think it’s worth waiting a long time for.

Pricy, but the portions are quite massive. The noodle soup is better than the chicken rice. Pickles are okay, but nothing amazing. The chili oil that’s on the table is very fragrant and has good flavor, but minimal spice. I’d say my bowl was probably 75% meat and 25% noodles, which I am definitely not complaining.

We were planning to have sushi but I walked into the wrong shop. But the smell was so good that we changed plans and ate here instead. Then we realized this is the famous chicken rice place that our friend recommended. It did not disappoint. We prefer the classic over the crispy chicken but if you’re undecided, try the mixed option. My dry noodle was just spicy enough. Condiments at the table were also good.

I’ve had this famous Cambodian chicken rice spot bookmarked for a while, so I was excited to finally try it! I arrived a few minutes before opening on a Sunday and there was already a line forming. Luckily, I was seated right away once they opened.

Ordering and payment were very straightforward. Everything is done via a QR code at the table, which made the process quick and efficient. The food also came out impressively fast.

I started with the broth, which was flavorful and comforting, and the rice was nicely fragrant. I liked pairing the poached chicken with the soybean ginger sauce and the crispy chicken with the sweet chili sauce. They also offer three additional condiments on the table. I tried the ginger scallion sauce. While it was aromatic, I found it bland. I would have loved a bit more seasoning, especially since ginger scallion sauce is usually my favorite with chicken rice. The pickled vegetables that came with the combo were a great touch and really helped brighten the dish overall.

Would I say this is the best chicken rice I’ve ever had? Definitely not, but it is comforting and satisfying, and it definitely hits the spot if you are craving chicken rice. I would be interested in coming back to try their kuy teav next time.

Service was pretty minimal. No one checked in or refilled my water, but given how busy it was, I am willing to give them some grace.

Amazing food. Tried this place after a long time and the food is quite delicious. Tried the chicken rice and it comes with sides of soup, salad and two sauces. The sauces are delicious too. There is always a wait time to get seated at the restaurant and it’s easier to get in on a weekday instead of weekend. The wait time on a weekday was maybe around 5 minutes for a table for 2.

Finally tried this place after hearing about it from many locals and loved it! A bit on the pricey side, but absolutely worth it. Went with family and we got the classic chicken rice and spicy dry noodle with fried chicken. The food tasted wonderful and arrived in a timely manner. The display was also really neat and aesthetic and the interior was really nice as well. Definitely join the waitlist while you are around 6-7 miles away for shorter waiting times since the lines do get very long. This place is a must visit!!
