Amazing food and great staff! The Lutz location was very accommodating for my special order for a party, including changing some last-minute details to make it exceptional. I greatly appreciated the kind older gentleman who works there and delivers all orders with a smile. Visited Sun during lunch and had quick service.
Food was good and as expected. Cuban & 1 Empanada. A buddy ordered the combo of 4 Empanadas and he couldn’t finish them all. They offer various fountain drinks + tea. I love Cuban sandwiches and theirs was good all the way!
Restrooms appeared clean. Easy in/out of location however keep in mind parking spots are pretty far from the front door. If your elderly or have a hard time walking please keep this in mind. There are only 3 tables/chairs inside with a couple larger tables outside.
My suggestion is you give it a try and leave a rating to help others.

When trying to place a phone order it kept going to voice-mail and then busy signal. We called about 5 times. Upon entering the restaurant, we walked in and no one was there to greet us. When the young man came to the front he didn’t greet us so we ordered and asked if the phone was working and the young man said it hasn’t been working today. When the food was ready we told us and just dropped the bag on the counter. I entered my car and started eating in the parking lot and 2 of my 4 empanadas were partially undercooked. I went back inside and told the young man and he remade it. I honestly love the food that why I keep going back, but the service is very disappointing.

No more specials. The nice Italian salad with, salami, Swiss is no longer there. There slice up ham lunch meat now. Swiss, lol good luck seeing it in your salad. Ive been going here for years. Pathetic. I hope they close down.

The devil crab empanada was the best one. We tried the spinach and artichoke, the guava and cream cheese and the apple. All of them tasted delicious. The empanadas are medium sized but they are fully stuffed, not like other places where the empanadas are large but almost empty inside. I really recommend this place. The staff are friendly.

I always get empanadas from Ms Empanada in South Tampa. They fry everything right after you order it. I just ordered from this place through Uber and it’s not the same. It tastes greasy and doesn’t seem fresh because the empanadas are so soft. I was disappointed.

This location has the best deviled crabs. They fry them when you order them and they’re never fried ahead. They have just the right amount of crispness to the outside and are loaded with crab meat. I wish I didn’t live 25 miles away, but I always treat myself when I’m on this side of town.

Mr. Empanada is always tasty but very unhappy that I ordered a 25 count of mini empanadas and was charged $51.60 (with tax $48 without taxes) for the tray. Upon entering the store for pick up the menu states $38 for the tray. When I questioned the $10 difference I was told that it was because of the online order as the man walked off while telling me. Not cool Mr. Empanada. I order food for clients on the daily and I’ve never been charged a $10 hike on the in store prices unless I went through a third party. My order was directly from your website.
Lesson learned: call and take time from staff to place my order so that I can get the in store price or don’t return as a customer.
