Great overall meal but it is the view that makes this place a 5-star. Typical slightly higher prices of a nice restaurant and service is common of what you find at large ski resorts. But for the ambiance, prices are actually a good value compared to what you would find in this price range.

Although we had a reservation, there were about 20 open tables minimum, which I was puzzled why they don’t try and fill those seats…

Y’all, don’t listen to the other reviews. This place is wonderful! You just need to ask the waiter/waitress what they recommend/don’t recommend!

We got the beet carpaccio, carrot ginger lemongrass soup, and wagyu steak. The carpaccio was absolutely delicious – creamy cheese and balsamic-soaked beets. The wagyu was melt-in-your-mouth, super flavorful, and was perfectly paired with the asparagus. The soup was our least favorite but it went great with the fresh sourdough rolls.

The view is also incredible, and the prices are reasonable if you don’t get two entrees (which you shouldn’t, as what we got was plenty already!)

We had dinner last night at The Aerie and the experience was excellent from start to finish. We arrived on time for our reservation and were seated immediately at a window table with a fantastic view of the mountain. The atmosphere is very elegant and the view is, again, stunning. We were immediately greeted and our water order was taken and menus arrived. Within moments our waiter Christian arrived. He was charming, thoughtful and attentive the entire evening. I have owned restaurants in New York and was there with my son who works in restaurants and we both were very impressed with the quality and thoughtfulness of the service. Much better than most of the service we get these days in NYC. The food was also excellent. We had the Pork Belly and Mushroom appetizers and the Mushroom Bolognese and Bison Steak. Overall it was an excellent experience. Christian was an excellent waiter and should be commended.

Best meal I’ve had in Utah, and I’ve tried more than a few well-regarded restaurants. The roasted wild mushroom appetizer is the tastiest dish I’ve had in years and both the salmon and the elk chop entrees were delicious as well. Our server, Becks, was extremely attentive and gave great recommendations (cheesecake for dessert was stellar).

I understand what this restaurant’s going for, and I was excited to eat here. I was surprised at the lackluster service and cold food.

I should’ve sent a few things back, like the doughy undercooked ravioli my son got, or the tough pork belly that showed up cold and hard, just didn’t want to offend the kitchen or deal with the servers who seemed unimpressed with us as patrons.

The bolognese was weird, just felt like mess of ingredients and not enough sauce, more like a pad thai.

I was hoping the onion bisque was gonna save the day, but it was weak and cold. the consistency of the soup was similar to baby food, and after a cold ski day, it didn’t hit the spot.

Prices are ridiculous, and to me…i had to write this review because service and food wasn’t up to par with the amount we spent.

The one thing that’s absolutely fantastic is the bread they brought to the table, ironically it’s free.

The Aerie at Cliff Lodge offers breathtaking views that truly elevate the dining experience. Sitting high above Snowbird, the panoramic scenery is undeniably the highlight of the visit.

Unfortunately, the food didn’t quite match the setting. The menu felt limited, and the dishes we tried lacked the expected depth of flavor. The crème brûlée was disappointing, missing the rich, creamy texture and caramelized top that makes it a classic. The burger, while decent, was surprisingly under-seasoned—no salt, no pepper, no real kick.

Service was another challenge. Our waiter was doing their best, but they were the only one managing the entire restaurant at the time. Eventually, someone stepped in to assist, but the delay was noticeable.

Would I return? Probably not. While the ambiance is spectacular, the food and service didn’t leave a lasting impression. If you’re visiting for the view, it’s worth a stop—but if you’re looking for a memorable meal, you might want to explore other options.

This place objectively sucks. Haven’t been to the Arie since the remodel, so a long time. But the remodel is generic fancy, which is to say, has zero character or anything unique about it, just kinda of looks like any other fancy generic restaurant. Then the menu, it’s tiny, which at first thought must mean they are focused on just having a few highly specialized good options? Wrong, everything we got was mediocre. I really don’t like over priced fancy restaurants, but sometimes after eating the food I’m left feeling good or okay about it because of the experience and the food somehow made you feel like it was worth the exorbitant price. This place doesn’t do any of that, only leaves you hungry, unsatisfied and the feeling of being ripped off. If your a superficial person who thinks because the food is plated well and is expensive that it must be good, like all the other 5 star reviewers, then you’ll love this place. But if your not vain, and actually have some standards, don’t go!

Had a great time here with my group of 8. Gratuity for large groups is automatically added to the check, so keep that in mind. Service was awesome–we had two waiters help us and they were polite and funny! The ambiance is nice as you’re on the top floor of the Cliff Lodge, so the view of the mountains adds to the experience. Really yummy rolls with butter and oil/balsamic are included. All the dishes flavors are well thought out and the presentation was fantastic!

The restaurant offers a fancy ambiance perfect for enjoying the fall foliage. While the service could be friendlier, the food and drinks were top-notch. However, the prices are on the higher side, and larger portion sizes would be appreciated.

It’s at the top of the Bird, so it’s iconic to start. Food was good but not great, and the alcohol selections were meh at best, earning only 4 start.
But the service and atmosphere were the best; where else in north America are you eating at 10000ft and being able to enjoy the view?
