My wife and I went to Popeyes on Lake Street at about 5:15 p.m., they had no customers in the lobby and 3 employees hanging around the front counter. We were not recognized at all! We waited for about 45 seconds and eye contact was finally made and still not greeted. One of the girls finally asked if they could take our order, I started to tell her that I wanted to order a 16 piece family meal and she literally walked away and didn’t say a word! We immediately left and decided to go try Golden Chick. When we arrived we were immediately greeted by a polite young lady and a young man named Jacob. We found out that it was the young ladies first day and Jacob was training her, he explained everything on the menu to us that we asked about all while training her. I can’t say enough about this young man. And his attention to the customers, we were very pleased with our experience in the food was fantastic. Definitely will be back and never going to Popeyes on lake street again..

Don’t recommend management is a joke they don’t listen to your concerns and expect you to tell them how to do their job. If I complain and you gave me a refund why ask me what you can do to make it better if you refuse to listen. My food was over spiced on purpose to point it was burning my eyes and nose before I even opened the bag. I also want to point out that I’ve been their several times and they have never put that much spice on my food. Mia needs a new job she has no customer service didn’t even offer an apology. Go get a new career because fast food isn’t it love.

Golden Chick catered our band meal during the state marching band competition at McNeese. We were able to feed 220 people a hot meal that night. Everything was fresh, the band loved it, and I can’t tell you how many kids said “this is so much better than cane’s”. Jacob and his team were easy to work with. Would recommend for large events. I can’t speak on restaurant atmosphere as we didn’t go in.

Walked in this place. It was two people in there. They waited 10 minutes just to order. The person took their order 10 minutes later he take our order. We wait 15 minutes for the order. It’s like they pulled salt on one side of the chicken and tenders I wouldn’t recommend no one to eat here. They don’t take pride in their cooking or nothing like that. The customer service is horrible. They need a whole new team in there. Let’s not forget the tenders were slimy because they wasn’t cooked all the way

Not gonna lie this place is like no other. The best service and best food I’ve had in a while! I was genuinely impressed with the quality of their cleanliness, food and staff. My spicy fish and shrimp were cooked to perfection. Safe to say I’ll be back.
