At our Auburn, AL location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

I can’t give zero stars and that is a disappointment. This location was ridiculous they were not pleasant they didn’t wanna be there or do their jobs all of my phone was smashed thrown together soggy and cold. I can’t have the family meal that will feed my family they don’t have chicken I say okay and proceed anyways thinking I can’t get worse but it can. They replaced my hush puppies with bread logs and didn’t ask if it was okay. Just told me as they threw my crumpled food out of the window. Here’s pictures of my crushed container my soggy cold fries and my bread sticks.

This location will not be getting my business on the days the girl that took my order work. I have had this unpleasant an experience only one other time oddly enough at this same location, though a different person. Her attitude is one I happily don’t have to put up with, also tell you employees to wear their name tags show I can point them out.

They used to have some really good employees there that I haven’t been seeing lately. I got my mealin a timely manner and when I got to where I was going, I started eating and found two hairs in it. Thankfully, I found them before I put it in my mouth. This is inexcusable.

long wait in the drive thru. I order the 5.99 sampler and drink. They didn’t give me enough drink in my cup and the portion of the meal look lesser than on the menu. I’m highly disappointed.

I am a senior, saw they had a senior special, asked what it was, was told you have to come in to get the senior meal, would not tell me what it is. I asked her when I got to the window if it makes sense to require seniors to come inside since a lot have mobility problems, She was very unhelpful.

Staff is friendly. They have good fry cooks on staff whenever I go there, food not greasy as it is at other Captain D’s. I would have given 5 stars if fountain drink dispenser where one could access for refills instead of having to go back and bother the counter staff when busy.

Got the $5.99 meal with lobster bites fish and fried. Add the fried okra. The fish fry was the spicy kind. Delicious. Will have to try the grilled fish next time.
